Reading all the comments from these tiger fans I can imagine most of them haven't even watched the full video and some are pretending. This is about the Asiatic lions in ancient India, when these lions were bigger, stronger, healthier and more dominant at that time and this video is not about the Asiatic lions of today. They can't stand the fact that in the past Asiatic lions had the upper hand...their feelings are hurt. But now a Bengal tiger will surely beat an Asiatic lion, they are now no match against a Bengal tiger.

Before watching the video, I'd like to say my thoughts before listening to the facts you'll present. Uhm...IMO I think the Tiger has an upper hand here 1vs1. Come to think of it, Bengals today in the wild are bigger than Armor tigers in the wild in terms of size; only the armor tigers in captivity are bigger than Bengals, and that shows how good the Bengals are in strength and adaptability. Out of every 10 fights, I think the lion will win 4.

I am from India and this is a totally biased video. 2 reasons: 1. In India, both lions and tigers were hunted excessively. Because of territory overlap, there must have been fights in the wild between lion and tiger. If lion win these fights, then why there are 5 times more tigers spread throughout India while lions are just in 1 sanctuary? 2. While you have listed 4 unreliable instances from 100-300 years ago, In 2011 in a Turkey zoo, A Bengal Tiger killed a lion with a single paw swipe. Also, in a video shared by an Indian Forest Officer, a lion tries to attack a sittinh Bengal Tiger, and the tiger pushes the lion away with just a single swipe. These are recent recorded evidences which prove that Tiger easily wins against Lions.

This video is biased to you cause it’s hurting your fanatical sentiments. 1. Lions were hunted more than tigers. In the start of 20th century, there were only 12 lions left. The population of tigers at its lowest was 1000-1400. Lions need relocation now but the government of gujarat doesn’t allow it. That has nothing to do with tigers. 2. That Ankara zoo incident proves nothing. The lion did not die of the impact by tiger’s paw. It died cause luckily tiger’s claws severed the jugular vein of the lion as it had no mane and was a sub adult and the lion died of excess bleeding. That was just a lucky shot in a blue moon. By this logic, there’s even an account of leopard killing a bengal tiger by one slash onto the chest so does that mean leopard is superior to a tiger? I have made a video on its analysis.
