    Chip, the world needs more riders/drivers like you! I am so impressed with your defensive, non-aggressive, courteous style! everything you said can also be applied to car drivers. Wonderful video!

    I also enjoy riding on highways instead of towns or cities. also, you are one down-to-earth type of guy. wish I could ride with smart people like you Chip. Be safe and may you have many good years of riding as I have, I am 76 years old but still truckin' down the roadways, very nice video Sir.

    Great responsible driving man. People ask me should they get a 600 or 900.. I tell them you should be cruising anyways so a 600 will work. Unless you're In a group. That's the only reason I feel you need a 900.

    Both the 600 and 900 have more than enough power. Glad to see someone who knows how to ride on the highway.

    I do a lot of highway riding and my first bike a 650cc Vulcan S, wasn’t that great. Not that good for passing other vehicles or when cars get on your tail. My 1250cc bike is a lot better on highways. If I got a Ryker, it would be the 900 without question but if I really went 3 wheels I’d sell my bike and get the Spyder F3. Big engine, good power and lots of tech.

    I am always amazed at how much my Ryker smooths out on the freeway! You are exactly right when you say that there is plenty of throttle to speed up if necessary. I don’t ride very often on the freeway but it’s nice to know the Ryker is a very capable machine to handle higher speeds, and it is a blast on curvy roads!

    I’m hoping my new windshield will make riding on the highway less “stressful.” The drag I created without a windshield made me feel like I was about to be pulled off the thing at 70 mph. Even with the handlebars slid all the way forward so I’ll lean a little bit, I still found myself gripping the handlebars too tightly. I like the look of the Ryker without any wind protection but I think it’s pretty helpful to have it, even if it’s just the little Can Am gauge spoiler. Wish I had bought one of those instead of the 1up backrest when I picked my Ryker up.

    I have heard that the windshield makes the Highway a totally different experience. I don't ride a lot on the highway so I'm not sure what my future plan is just yet

    Great info/video. Here in Europe we can't pass on the right, on the highways/autobahn so it seems so "off" to see it on video, LOL! Huge fines and loss of license if you do it. Keep it between the ditches!

    Problem with drivers in the US is that the slow ones don’t always keep to the right like they should. The truck, the guy pulling the trailer, both should have been in the far right lane because they’re slow. They had to be passed on the right because they were utilizing the wrong lane.

  • @brentgath4447

    @brentgath4447

    @@gregrowe1168 Ya, that’s also an issue. If you aren’t actively passing someone and you are in the left lane, you will be fined. You can’t travel in the left lanes. But even if someone is in the wrong lane, here in Europe, and you pass on the right, you will be fined and lose your license for 30 days.

    So I have a 2022 Ryker sport. Took it on it’s first long highway trip last weekend. Well 30 minutes into the trip and I get the VSS fault and bike went into limp mode. This lasted all day. Went off a couple times but came right back. Any advice how to rectify or prevent this issue?

  • @ChipMitchell
