I'd be happy to meet you in the campground (as long as it's in western Canada). My wife is retiring this spring and I plan on turning her into a camping/quadding person - hahaha

What kind (brand) of double sided tape did you use to mount the ECM? Did it ever show any sign of coming loose? (I have the same mounting problem).

John Mathers .. We used 3M brand automotive double-sided tape. Like what would be used on outside door moldings on a car. Has held up well. Hope that helps you and thanks for checking out the video!

KC's ATV World yes the video was great, let me know what I'm in for. I saw that you used the adjustment on the tie rods , but I thought that was for the toe in, toe out when you used the strings. Thanks for the clarification.

Does it keeps that smooth on higher speeds as in low speed, or it adjust automatically to get tighter while riding fast?

Andrés Fernández .. Yes it is designed to adjust automatically at higher speeds. Reduces the amount of assistant at a high speed.

How large is your shop? Also did you notice any lag from when the handlebars were turned to the wheels moving?

Hi Glenn Goodwin .. If the key is off the power steering system will be turned off at that point there is some deflection in the handlebars before the wheels move . When the key is on, it is very sensitive no lag between the handlebars moving and the wheels the servo in that unit is very sensitive. Thanks for checking out the vid!

I have bought a universal kit for my CECTEK T6. This was VERY heavy and really difficult to reverse with my trailer. I fitted the kit using my own brackets and wired it in. However there is not a lot of change, it is lighter but not as much as I wanted, so a bit disappointed but it cost me £ 476 so still a good deal? I just hoped for it to be lighter, I will go up my woods tomorrow and that will tell me if it is better. I am not happy with it really and wondering if I have a defective unit that has come out of the back door of the factory as a reject bye somebody selling it on eBay direct from China. I cannot mess up the wiring as it is all pre-made. I will make comment later after trying at work in the wood.

hey i know you have said that your unsure about the year of that atv but if you look on the frame right under the seat it should a sticker of the month and year it was assembled i have the same atv and mine says 01/07 if you could look and tell it will let me know if i can do it to my atv thank you

Hi, Lisa Peters .. That was the son-in-law‘s ATV and unfortunately he doesn’t have it anymore. I do think he said it was first generation renegade if that helps you any. You might contact super ATV I believe that’s the company who sells those power steering units. Hey Bob That box on the Renegade is a can-am box really the only one that would fit correctly on that bike. It's a hard plastic box I think it's going to work pretty good? The box I have on my bike is fabric but it's rigid so it works well. The brand is OGIO Burro. Bought it from rockymountain ATV MC I don't really have a preference I think for your can-am i would get a can-am box they fit well and look great! Hey Bob .. Good morning that's a good question i think it would do a pretty good job at keeping stuff dry. Although I don't know for sure never got caught out in the rain last year. I did spray it with Scotchgard when it was new Hey Bob If you don't mind sending me your email address and i'll try and send you a pic of the trail map of Colorado I'll Try and give ya some info on the trails.

Are you sure your Renegades is a 07 not a 06? Super ATV is adamant that it won't fit a 07 because the steering shaft is different. Thanks....

Dale Martin .. Well I can’t remember what year the son-in-law said it was, but everything fit just fine no issue at all with the steering shaft. I remember he was thinking there was going to be an issue but nope it all worked out. Thanks for checking out the video!!

Hey! Bud! It's been working perfectly with no issues. I really like those units. They really help out a machine that didn't have power steering makes a world of difference. I think I've heard you comment on your new machine how you I like the power steering. I was watching, you're on thin ice young lady video and got interrupted. I'll have to finish watching later hahaha. Thanks for checking out another vid!

I herd u say u put 1 on a prairie...witch kit did I put on cause I'm about to buy either the universal 220w or the brute force 750 kit I'm trying to figure out witch 1 ...im putting it on a brute force 650 2006 witch is a prairie n the brute force kit sold is for the 750 2007 I think n up

foxx 23 .. I used the brute force kit with the larger power steering motor. There was quite a bit of modifications to make it fit on the Prairie. Had to fabricate and weld on tabs to the frame for the mounting plate, also had to cut and shorten steering shaft.

I have 2 2007 Renegades I would like to do this upgrade to but they say it doesn't work for 2007. Did you find out what the issue was why they say they don't work?

Hey, Dale the only thing I can think of is the bracket for the electronic control unit would not bolt on like it showed. We still put it where they wanted it behind the plastic on the right side of the gas tank. Just mounted it right to the tank with double sided tape fit perfectly and was covered with the plastic body panel. Really happy with the system works great! Thanks for tuning in!

I wish I could tell you exactly what year the machine is but that’s the x son-in-law now, so no way to find out. That unit had no issues bolting on though. It fit just fine. Thanks for watching!

@@kcatv9556 someone who watched this video seemed to be convinced its truly a 2007 . based on a few specifics to 2007 models. and ontop of that they also confirmed the steering tube/shaft is the same for 07-10 ..so maybe the compatibility is just the mounting of the computer? crazy to think they would say you cant put on a 2007 if thats the only issue...
