Great tip! Same on the new Commander Max we have . Especially once you start putting windshields on. The vent tube runs down the rear frame toward the rear pass seat area. The funes then get pulled up from there. I just ran mine high by the coolant bottle and put another inline gas filter on it. Problem solved.

I'm still wondering how to get some air thru the bottom of the passenger compartment for my new Commander. I love this machine but this thing has some serious heat coming from the console tunnel. If yall have some ideas I'd be grateful!!

Thanks for watching. I would suggest that you remove the console and install some reflective dyno mat type material or heat tape. This will help reflect the heat away from the passenger compartment and help keep you cooler.

The same thing happens to me in all of my Defenders.

Thanks for watching. We will check into it on the defender models. I would say the same tubing can be used as the X3 and relocate the line away from the defender cab.

If this is a common problem, why wouldn't Can Am take care of it?

It's not really a big deal in my machine. I was a first when I smelt it I was a bit worried I might have a fuel leak in the plastic tank or a high pressure fuel leak in one of the lines. I've probably only smelt it once or twice in 330Km of riding in all types of terrain in my 2021 Can Am Maverick XRC turbo RR. it's just one of those ATV/UTV things. One could ask why Polaris didn't take care of all the recall issues in my then new 2015 Polaris RZR1000XP & all the mods like a cam chain tensioner I had to fit or the finger tight nyloc locknut on the rear trailing arm front pivot bolt that was not done up at the assembly line. That would have been interesting if the trailing arm dropped out at the front pivot point & hit the dirt at 100Kmh.

Thanks for watching. Some people never have this issue or notice it. We dont do a lot of machines but we have done a few especially in our area with the elevation changes and big hills.
