Can am Alpine Flex Plow W/Apache 360 Tracks

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Got a few hours on the new plow set up and so far it has been working awesome! The tracks combined with the extra width of the plow extensions really speeds up plowing. Definitely recommend this set up to anyone with a decent sized yard or driveway. Check out pinespsm.com for all your Can am and Ski doo needs. Thanks for watching.

    Growing up in Prince Albert all we ever had were shovels, my dad was a preacher and my brothers and I would shovel our driveway, sidewalks and steps the we started on the church, Price Albert was a good place in the 70's for a kid

    I had the Apline Flex 60" mounted on my 650 MaxXT a month ago. Waiting on some snow here in southern Ontario but it seems to be a really nice toy. My driveway's about 40 feet long so it should be a matter of moments. The dealer offered an older model of the tracks to me on a deal but I thought best to try the tires first. Nice video once again ostacruiser...

    I lived in Alaska through the 90s and they had snow plows for 4 wheelers back then, but they were little more than novelties or toys, your rig really moves snow. I would be interested to see how the snow plow components hold up over time, as plowing snow has a tendency to be hard on vehicles.

    I understand the extensions and the side wings allow you to hold more snow. Just wondering what they do to your ability to windrow and push snow off to the side. Also, do the tracks help or are they more of a hindrance? I understand on snow they would glide over the snow, but for plowing is that an advantage or disadvantage?

  • @ostacruiser

    @ostacruiser

    I take the side wings off when plowing to the side. The tracks are excellent for both pushing the snow and stacking it up...you can drive right up the pile without sinking in....lets you stack the snow much higher

But of all the abuse ive seen in these videos, hands downs can ams are of choice. For plowing do you like the tracks on a atv? or have you used a utv with a plow? Looking for ideas as for rec use. Ostacrusier, I was thinking of getting the same plow setup with my Outlander 850 Max XT. How does it work with heavier, deeper, wet snow? Some of my friends say the metal plow version would dig in a little more because of the added weight. I do not have Tracks on my Max. But, the 360 version from Can-Am is on my Christmas list eventually, lol.

    I was wondering if when you were plowing with the blade angled, how much side drift, if any, you had when plowing, and how much power was used on the throttle? Also how fast can the track setup go? I'm building a Duel tracked vehicle from scratch on my channel and am planning on using it to plow among other things also, but I'm making my tracks and are all steel with double pitchfork cleats 1/4" tall. Any input on what to expect will be helpful. If you like take a looksee, your more then welcome. It's called the X1 Scorpion
