    Have a look at A320 sim pilot and A330 driver. Both are commercial airline pilots. Lewdix Gaming is a flight instructor who has flown commercially.

    I hope Dovetail actually take her feedback on board and correct the things that are wrong with the setup of the train to make it even more realistic. It is nice to get an insight to an actual driver on a HST.

    They might not be ‘wrong’ to be fair. Particularly with software stuff, I wonder if it’s a bit like aeroplanes where companies can tailor the base software package to their own requirements which is why there would be a few differences on here.

    It's dvt. Not gonna happen. There's a broken tutorial since tsw2 from a dlc that costs 30 dollars and it's still not fixed in tsw4.

    I am a retired driver and have been using train simulation from BVE in the 90's to OpenBVE, Trainsimulator and now Train Sim World 4 and have always enjoyed them and experiencing the technical progress that has gone with them.

    Totally agree with every word there chap! Love the class 101, especially in TSW... No cold draughts around your legs, 40 years on and I'm paying for it now, me knees are knackered.

    Can you make this game compatible with the turtle beach velocity one flight stick on xbox SX. Because the stick has two levers, it would make controlling the trains a lot more realistic.

    This is amazing! I've watched dozens of 'real' aircraft pilots telling their impressions on simulated aircrafts, but this is the first time ever, that I can see a real train driver doing such a thing on a train simulator! Thank you both (the author and of course the gentle Jess) for the experience. Ah, and apologies for the horrid use of the english vocabulary and choice of words. English is not my main language, unfortunately… Cheers.

    This is really cool. Seeing her complete concentration and awareness on a sim gives me confidence that drivers on real trains are seriously paying attention! Normal gamers would be wuffing down a vegan poke bowl, texting and petting the cat while they drive, putting all the virtual passengers at risk!

    Excellent Video! Learned a few things. Hopefully Part 2 has safety systems turned on. DTG have them isolated by default to help new players with no train driving knowledge. A bit of a nuisance for the rest of us but hopefully one day they will give us an option to change the default status.

    ​@MrJimheeren Safety systems aren't isolated by default in real trains though. Setting up the AWS/TPWS is literally just a case of switching the desk in and cancelling the horn. It's something I find a little bit annoying too, that there's no way to default to them being on.

    You can turn on the safety systems if you find the switches.

    On PC, Ctrl+Enter switches them all on, so it's no biggie - I agree with Dovetail Games policy of making it easier for inexperienced players.

    That's really informative. I would like to see dovetail take on any feedback and make the simulation as accurate as possible. It would be great to have a route knowledge mode, giving the appropriate points to look for along the route.

    So cool to see a person play a simulator of their real life job. There isn't many people who are willing to play a simulator of their real life work , there are many farmers in real life that won't play the farming simulators that are out. With railroad employees it's completely different they love what they do and can't get enough of being around trains.....me having a big love for trains i definitely would be playing the simulators on my down time if i was a railroad engineer 😁

    I enjoyed that I've driven on the East Coast Main Line route in Train Sim World 4 I had driven the Azuma its nice to drive plus I did drive Flying Scotsman I love the route between Peterborough and Doncaster I would love to come and have a cab ride from on one of the Azuma's from Kings Cross to York some day this year

    At 33:24, if the DRA is set whilst moving and the Driver is applying power using the power brake controller, no power will be applied to the train. Simply set the power brake controller back to the "0" position and reapply power.

    I just wish they made the route from Peterborough to Kings Cross as the Thameslink and LNER run on this line though i'm biased as this is my local line. Love the video and great driver to pick to play.

    Any chance of getting the game on PC and maybe some peripherals (or simple mouse and keyboard) for another videos? For better graphics fidelity and less joystick/camera jumps - I know Jess didn't do it on purpose but it was slightly distracting :)

    Will you be adding more TOCs to the route will you have add ons to york and other places. As driver said they rely on feel of track and knollage at night and fog how do they see obstruction or defect of can’t see as well as day?

    We don't, basically. Driving at any time means putting full trust in the signalling and maintenance systems. The chances are that if you see an obstruction or defect, it's already too late to stop for it anyway. The only difference is we don't see it coming in poor visibility.

    I play TSW4 as well, but I never understand the UK signalling system, because somehow the speed indicators to slow down your speed to a speed limit is missing along the tracks in other UK routes in TSW. In Germany for example you have the yellow upside down triangle sign with a number to slow down your speed to a speedlimit.

    Idea set up a working that matches a real train working for Timings and restrictions weather unit and size and then get a driver to play it as the real train moves see it it hits same points same time see who gets where what time and who’s faster or better Every thing on no helps as real as to the actual loco ur on even if it can’t go as fast as broken build it in to game if poss use actual same unit and unit number. Then do slit screen cab view of the route to see both
