Can a foreigner obtain a real estate in China
so normally speaking our law impose a restriction
for foreigners to obtain real estate rights
under China's law
but normally speaking there are three scenarios
a foreigner can
have the right on a real estate in China
so the first way is that if a foreigner has lived
in China and worked in China for more than one year
so in this scenario
according to our law you can buy one real estate
an apartment of a house
as your residence
that's the first one
the second one is to obtain
the real estate by way of inheritance
so it means that
even though you are a foreigner
but maybe you
have family members who are Chinese
and they have assets
in this scenario
you can inherit these assets and put it
under your name
the third option is that
you can get this as a gift or transfer between a couple
so it means
you are a foreigner but your husband or wife
they are Chinese they have assets in China
so in this scenario
they can transfer their assets under their names to
your names so this is the third possibility
