Can a Few Small Changes Make the Losi Mini LMT Even Better?!?

Ойын-сауық

The Losi Mini LMT has quickly become one of my favorite RC trucks! After a few runs with this truck it is seriously awesome!! The amount of things Losi packed in this little truck that make it so much fun!
But there are a few small things that are tough to pull off in a truck this small. And those things are also sort of personally driving preference, specifically the diff setup and shock setups.
The diffs and the shocks on this truck are a little different than I'm used to seeing in RC. But I did a little tinkering to the setup to try to fit the truck better to my driving style!
I'm ready to see if the changes will do anything and if the Mini LMT can be even better than it already is! This is an awesome little truck and you'll be seeing a whole lot more of it on the channel!!

Excellent coverage of the mini. I think over time there will be all kinds of upgrades to this very popular RC. I really like how you constructed your ramps. Who wants to carry heavy plywood ramps to location. You got some great action and in slow motion it looks awesome.

Thank you! It's definitely one of my favorite rcs right now. So easy to start driving and bashing without much

Id like to see sealed diffs so we can mod our trucks to our own fluid liking. Second i would like to see a spool option for the diffs. I was wondering if somone could modify the center diff into a front or rear as the center is locked.

I think locking the diff would be pretty simple. Even though it isn't sealed, some epoxy would lock it up easily and then once its set in can be put back into the truck. I completely agree though, we need a sealed diff!

I actually thought about shoo gooing the front and rear diffs to lock them. Figure if it doesn’t work, they’re pretty cheap to replace. Someone has to make a sealed diff at some point.

@@VetteWay2Fast That's an option as well!! The silicone plugs were just less "permanent" for me hahaha. I agree, someone has to make a sealed diff. Don't think it'll be too long.

Heck ya man I just got done doing my first and probably only upgrades to the truck asides from shocks put a set of zoomie headers on got a pirate flag bow house lcg kit in some upper / lower hot racing chassis braces and reused a couple of the stock plastic ones and just relocated them. treal sway bars the stock ones broke fairly easy some treal aluminum rims waiting on the tires and got some upper and lower links /shock limit straps on the way as well as new drive shafts if ever needed. The trucks a blast and cant wait to see what crazy build you do with a 1/24 to get it to perform like the lmt mini if you don't end up making it perform better. Id like to try a rampart build like you have and get it to perform like this dont think thatll happen though.

Sounds like a beast of a truck!! I'm hoping I can get a relatively simple build that can perform like the mini lmt. First step is finding the right axles

These are made from poster board material! The kind you'd see at like a science fair

@Vod_Villainous that does sound like a promising idea! Might look into picking some up to build my larger ramps. With a few supports it should make a great ramp surface
