This shows how incredibly good Nhl players are. Even OHL player are 50 times better than the average beer leaguer

They play hockey for a job so it makes sense.
I seriously have to say that the footage from this is incredible… speaking as an Edmontonian that has lived in Australia for the last 25 years and I don’t get much hockey out here, I really think the NHL should start putting some cameras on certain players including goalies and superstars like Connor McDavid. I think it would really improve the experience of the fan watching the games… I think you’ve proved that it can look pretty spectacular
We had an out of shape 50 year old ex-NHL 4th liner dominate our beer league.
Years ago when I was a pretty dang good beer leaguer, I spent an afternoon playing with couple fourth line Euro pro players . Those guys were incredible for strength, speed, and skills. And they were fourth liners. Total respect for pro hockey players. The super stars like McDavid are on a completely different planet from us mortals.
So in one of my leagues we Played against a guy that lit us up. Wasn’t flashy but always seemed to be in The right place all the time. Always seems to be able snake around guys and his shot was off quick and deadly accurate. We hadn’t seen him Before so our rep grabbed the time sheet and checked out his stats. He literally was involved in every goal either assisting or scoring. I think he got 7 points. Then one of our guys googled him and he played in the Q then played out east at a university and then played 5 years in Europe. I couldn’t imagine how could an NHL player would be.
This was super entertaining to watch. Nice stick handling and positioning.
That is so cool how it shows all those stats! Nice Job on the Video!

Ice looks amazing!
The 7 min shift was probably warm ups
Youre really good honestly haha
I've been using this app for about 7 months and it freaks out sometimes/somehow and says I jump up to like 19-21mph. There's no way I'm hitting top speed of 14.5mph and then all of a sudden jump up to NHL speed lmao. I heard it depends on the watch and some are more accurate than others. The unfortunate thing about those glitches is it affects all of the other calculations it does like fitness level and skating efficiency. But the vo2 max tracker is super cool I don't have anything else on my watch that can track that so it's nice to see when I lose the beer belly my vo2 max goes up gives me something further to aim for...also holy crap your vo2max is very good!
Great video. Unreal how they're on another level, and you're quite good for a beer leaguer. I'm sure I'd struggle to break 12mph
great beer league game, gotta learn to hop the boards tho, those door cuddles were painful

Really curious how gamespeed compares. On outdoor ice on a really cold (fast) day Strava tells me I hit 26.7MPH once, but that's not in hockey gear or in a game, with about 200 feet of space to really just sprint. I'm also not sold on that number being correct, other than that usually my sprint is like 21-24MPH, and closing on 27 is very fast. I haven't played men's league since pre-COVID, but now I want to know how different that speed is from actual gamespeed with full pads on.
Hockey fitness level says McDavid 😂😂

I've been in that rink a few times!
You have good hands BUT against a Defenseman you go forehand backhand and then pull back forward and sweep wide right. You should fake back to the left and come into the center of the ice instead of outside edge. Better chance to score

@HadenHiles
Жыл бұрын
I managed to get 21.5 in a game on a bigger rink the other day, so not too bad 😅. I do wonder about the accuracy though, it must have a pretty large margin of error.
pre or post game do a lap at your fastest and see what you can get for a top speed. then you can aim for that in game sometime?
@raymonwhite3340
19 күн бұрын
Agreed, fastest I've ever been clocked was just doing sprints in practice 19.4. I'm sure I've pulled it off in a game rushing back for the puck before a forward can close, but maneuvering at top speed is a slightly different animal. Great footage though. Really makes me miss it.
Hockey tracker speeds have been very questionable for me. I unfortunately feel like it’s super inaccurate

@v4v819 Gotta respectfully disagree. It''s not the skates, trainer, or dietary support. Pro athletes are at a level we mortals will never attain. When you add great equipment, a trainer, great coaching, and optimal nutrition, it simply widens the gap to us beer leaguers. Make no mistake though- pro's are gifted.
