Lighting is SO important...especially as I get older. The fact that you can adjust both the temperature and the brightness is definitely a plus.

@@traciakierman1 Yes!! I totally need progressive lenses, but have been too stubborn as of yet. At least I can take my glasses off to see things up close. It's such a disconcerting feeling not to be able to focus up close especially as I spent a good chunk of my life making jewellery, which meant I was always looking at objects only inches away. Ah well, I guess that's just part of life.

Thank you for the honest review. Price is definitely a factor with so many options out there.

You're welcome, I try to be as honest as I can, though I know everyone weights the pros and cons differently.

I got sent this light too and love it, use the color temperature and tap ring every day. I don’t use the automatic sensor reading modes though. And yeah it’s out of my budget range lol

Good call, you could probably make a soft box to go over the light.... as long as it wasn't too heavy for the arm system...

How dare wake such desires in me! I paint miniatures so light is important. I dont like white/blue light, much prefer warm, but to paint, color accuracy is important so i often switch between the two. I have a lamp and two lightbulbs and i manually switch depending on what i'm working on... 😩

Wow, that's really interesting, I saw the ability to change color temp as handy from a filming point of view, but obviously there are people who would find that really useful in more situations than I thought!

Portability is the main reason I would consider this light, but there are many quality competing options that are a lot cheaper .

Yep, I'd definitely be doing some more research if I was looking for a desk lamp....

Would there be any use for a lamp that could change the form of the light head from concave to convex? I guess you could do this with an LED strip.

Looks like a cool lamp, would be nice to crochet by but afraid to check the price :p

Not anything specific, I'm sure you could get pretty much any lamp that would do for reading, you'd probably want one that has a diffuse light that you can adjust the brightness of.

Okay, off topic, is that a giant "shag" rug on your ceiling?! It looks very cool ! I would assume that's for sound dampening ?! Back to video ! ;)

Hehe, yep, and yep. The ceiling is unfinished and there are some big ducts that reverberate when I talk so I temporarily stapled an old shag rug up there....5 years ago:)

What would bother me is that you can't easily change the light element, which makes it an extremely expensive disposable product…

You're right, and though the bulb is supposed to last a very long time, there's no way to know really until it stops....

Definitely not for that price. A desk lamp with a cool temp light bulb is probably worth about 10 of these

Yeah, I haven't really looked, but I'd be interested what other options are out there that are similar. I was a bit shocked by the price as well.

I like lamp.

Have you thought about doing popular video game characters costumes. The among us blasted off pretty good.

Yeah, I have thought about it, but somehow I don't seem to get around to those:) They seem to change quite rapidly, and it can take me months to make a pattern, so by then it's too late.

Handy for figure painting... not sure about finger painting
