With resin printing being more accessible, it could be interesting to see how winglets or some kind of small guiding ripples over the blade change the flying behaviour

That would be an interesting experiment! I might be convinced to buying my own resin printer. These blades turned out great.

@@LifeAroundDamian Please be careful with the toxicity of those prints. It could be overall interesting to go a bit in the direction of "fan showdown" or the boat version from RC test flight. Like trying to find the most efficient blades but also checking max RPM or lift generated

I know exactly what your talking about. That is one of the reasons I have been back and forth with owning one.

Hello Demian! Interesting experiment, I appreciate it! The weight of one blade is as much as 18 grams! This is a lot for this class. This increases the load on the motor, which leads to a significant reduction in flight time! Another problem is strength, how strong are they compared to the original ones, if you say that they are much more fragile than the original ones! So, what is the price of one set? The only option is to make a matrix from which to cut carbon fiber blades, but this requires certain skills, thank you!

Thanks! I definitely agree that the weight was a bit much for a helicopter of this size, which is why it was just an experiment. For someone who just wants to print their own blades and fly around, it will work. This was the first time I was able to use resin printed parts, so maybe with different types of resin might give out different densities. As far as price goes it really depends on the resin your printing with, I just went with the strongest resin PCBWay had to offer. Creating molds and building custom blades is a tough project to get into.

It's so real though, you can guess the way it functions just by the sound the rotor blades make.
