Tip: Given that it is vital that no sealant gets into the 4 oil drain channels (behind the front camshaft oil seals) in the front camshaft bearing cross-member (into which the VVT solenoids fit) when sealing the cross-member as a whole, I have found that if you put some strong twine (string) in these oil drain channels when replacing it, wait until the sealant dries (24 hrs) then pull the string out, this ensures that these drain channels remain unblocked by sealant. The camshaft oil seals can be inserted carefully from the front afterwards.

My 2011 1.8 curze has what I believe to be a lifter making noise. Before I take it apart how can I check to see which one is bad or has failed?

Good day a can a broken impulse Transmitter sensor cause the car to read a diagnosis code P0366 On chev Cruze 1.6 engine as one of the teeth on the impluse sensor was broken from engineering

When I went to pull out the intake side VVT solenoid I broke the housing. Can that housing, which also houses upper half of cam shaft seals, be purchased separately?

BECAUSE AT EXHAUST CAMSHAFT IS EXHAUST AND AT INTAKE IS INTAKE CAMSHAFT.. Logic

same here i went to change seals for my chevy cruze exhaust camshaft and the mechanic broke one of its tooth

The 2 camshaft timing belt sprocket bolts are Torque To Yield bolts (as are cylinder head and other bolts and others in engines these days) that stretch to maintain tension. They often break if you try to use them again.

I replaced head gasket only forgot to put on oil supply plastic cup that goes on top of the block

Were is A camshaft head or pmg located

Hi man PLEASE HELP , I mixed up my camshafts :( how can I tell which one is the Exhaust and which one is the Intake camshaft? Is there a number or a letter? They look very similar.. :(

@@berniegrunhaus3899 sorry man this was a very long time ago and the photos I had were on a different phone which is not longer working , you can get the part numbers by simply calling your local dealer and giving them your chassis vin number of the car , they will tell you the part numbers for the cams
