I still didn’t get an answer as to why the parents or students wasn’t informed of this incident had find out through social media and what steps are they taking so this can’t happen again. I’m still waiting for Chief Cherry to contact me it’s been days since I emailed the school and he was suppose to contact me I still haven’t heard from him

So the campus admits that they knew & banned him from the campus prior to this arrest! And when he was found driving around at 4am with his headlights out, he had several handguns, shotguns, an explosive device, knives, machetes, holy water, and a chicken's foot for good measure. And NOBODY thought that the students, staff, & parents were worthy enough to be made aware of what was intercepted? My daughter had to learn about it through social media re-posts. And NOTHING was sent officially until 3:55 on April 3rd. That's more than a week later.... AFTER the media FORCED the campus to be honest. If the chancellor or chief had a child there, they would've shared that information with their child. We demand the same consideration! With so many weapons in his possession, it only made sense that he could possibly be working with others. That's a reason to send an alert, for more eyes and ears to detect suspicious things that would've otherwise been ignored. I'm not saying that we need alerts for every single event. But this was an egregious act in the making. NC A&T was likely going to be the latest victim of a mass shooting. I'm not willing to sacrifice my daughter's safety for optics.

Perhaps, NCAT should fix the portal in which students can get housing assignments within their perspective time-frame based on their classification. There were many students who could not get into that portal because it was down for weeks and then their window to get housing, was closed. Numerous students had to seek housing outside of the NCAT campus housing because of this error.

This is so out of order on so many levels !!! Deja Rae Reaves was my daughter and I am sick to my stomach hearing this shrug of responsibility by this entire university. Chancellor I am yet to hear from you so this video is poor propaganda!! Please do the responsible thing and be a man and I will leave it at that !!
