Why aren't any of these cloacky ships cloackig on entry? Is instalock thing broken or are they just not reacting fast enough? I only lived in low sec so might be different in wh space but I've never been caught in an astero unless I wanted a fight...

Thera been my new home for last 3 months and just found this lol NICE - This why there so many HIC's in Thera ? Whenever I see a group HIC pointing a Jita hole, I always thank them for preserving its mass for the late night NA graveyard shift lol Ive started calling it, Saran Wrapping the hole. As scouts tell their beefy Haulers not to enter Ive heard of another way of campin them though :) a guy once told me ....... who's friend knows a friend whos says he does quite well in Thera

Its a fair question. I find it relaxing, in the same way you might find fishing relaxing. Another thing I enjoy is it is kind of like playing lucky dip whenever I catch someone, never know when you will get a jackpot kill. It is certainly not an activity I'd do if I wanted some excitement

@@EVEILOnline Typically when I fish It's a catch and release kinda thing. Unless I'm planning on eating them. Which would be a fair comparison, but podding people yields you nothing and can potentially wipe days or weeks worth of grinding from another players game play. So I don't think I can see that as a fair comparison. I can understand that this game is unlike any other. Nothing is safe, everything can be lost. I remember when in Eve when you had to upgrade your medical clones. So even skills could be lost. Which make the accomplishments much more meaningful. But I don't think I can ever understand why there is enjoyment in hurting other players maliciously. It's one thing to do it for gain, but another when there is no gain. Once again just want to make clear that I'm not criticizing or attacking you I'm just curious. It's hard to find people willing to have a conversation about this without people believing that I'm attacking them.

@@esmith0980 Its a hard one to explain, you're right that there is no material benefit (except during The Hunt event), though you do get a nice killmail which most pvpers would agree is worth taking the trouble to pod. Pods can also be tricky to catch in general, so when you find yourself able to pod, it is hard to pass up (at least for me). Finally, the very fact that someone has put time and effort into grinding for implants makes it that much more satisfying to take it away from them. This might come across as general douchebaggery, you might be right. But if a trap catches its prey, and lets it go, then what was the point in the trap? In every single case in the video, the victims made a choice to go through Thera with the ships and implants they did. I don't really consider the morality of it anymore to be honest, a target is a target, and I do enjoy a juicy killmail. I also enjoy having these kinds of discussions, so you're very welcome to ask these things here :)

@@EVEILOnline Thanks for being understanding and open to the discussion! I understand that they made that choice. It's 2 separate choices that are made in this instance theirs to put themselves at risk, and yours to exploit their choice and hurt them as much as possible (sorry couldn't think of a better way to put that, it's not exactly what I mean but as close as I can get to it I think) And your traps work but just because you trapped your prey doesn't mean it needs to be tortured lol. I've done some PVP also, I've just never seen the point in podding. But I've never been one who tea bagged my opponents in FPS'S either. I just think that they've lost no need to put salt in the wound. I've enjoyed taking a challenge and over coming that challenge. That's were I get my enjoyment from. Buy when the challenge is done and there is no way for them to fight back, I just consider it done. I don't know, just something interesting and have always wondered about. Cause to me killing helpless prey isn't something to be proud of I guess. And certainly not worth bragging about, maybe my sense of honor has something to do with it. Who knows, sorry half of this was me more questioning myself in what I thought and why lol, self discovery is fun.

@@esmith0980 But by that logic, I should have let most of the ships go, because very little of them could actually fight back. I think we're talking about 2 different forms of pvp. The first is a fair fight between willing combatants, which seems to be what you enjoy. The second is non-consensual pvp where one party is quite obviously the victim. This is what I enjoy. The actual challenge for me is coming up with new ways to catch people. I agree killing helpless victims doesn't give me anything to brag about, and I also don't try to "harvest salt" by taunting them afterwards, unless the victim is particularly abusive.

I just use z-s overview. I did add a tab which only shows non-blue ships to help with gatecamping, but that's the only difference
