@@GoCarolinaWild well, yeah… but lessons learned. If it’s snowing, make adjustments. All will be well! Also, if you happen to be someone other than @gocarolinawild and are reading this comment… make sure to go check out their most recent video to know just what the hell we’re talking about. ;)

I just picked up the T4 over the holidays. Got a great deal on it. Definitely the easiest pop up tent I have ever had, but like you said, it takes up a good amount of space.

Yeah, HUB tents like the Gazelle have become really popular for the super simple and really quick setup times and such, but most come with the drawback of taking up a little more space when packed away. Not really a big deal if you're not wheeling too much, but I love the convenience of it and space inside, for sure!

Two old men spotted at 01:42 in the video! LOL! I've tried just about everything you can imagine. My current setup is now very similar to yours. I think the most important thing is just getting out there, the gear can be whatever. Too many people believe "He who dies with the most expensive toys wins" 😂😂

Couldn’t have said it better myself! So many people think that they need $$$ to get out there, when in fact, it is quite the opposite. We have all fallen victim to marketing, advice and other things that may have tainted the simple fact that getting out into nature takes nothing more than returning to it.

I have a OzTent RV3. It is a great 4 season 2 adult tent. Pros- all season all weather durability, stand up room heavy duty canvas tent with built in awning, quickness at set up and break down - 30 seconds, no poles to connect, you just lay it on the ground unfold 2 sides and then pull the cord at the door and it stands up, flip the safety latches and you are done. Cons - heavy all in 1 unit and like the gazelle it is long 6 1/2’ long, expensive to purchase but well worth it.

I have an Air Mattress, folded in half in the same way you did the wood platform. Simple, comfortable, great for solo trips I have a Walmart tent for when I take my kids. I bought a pop up camper a couple years ago when I first bought the Jeep but found it was not practical. Good video I’m always looking for ways to improve my setup

Awesome! Its definitely a great idea to have options to choose from for different trips, more/less people, the weather, etc. I haven't experienced the trailer life, but if I did, it'd have to be one that I could easily hit the trails with!

I went with a SB Scout trailer with a RTT on top of it, love it but will acknowledge it's getting more of a chore to setup the older I get.

Personally, im finding setting up/breaking down camp a lot more cumbersome than I used to… being completely transparent. That’s a big part of why the platform option was, and is, still so attractive to me. Though, the idea of setting up the trailer as a basecamp (for a couple days) is almost equally appealing.

@@appalachhaun_adventures I mean, yeah! Having a truck is a completely different thing. I have the full size Chevy, which was going to become the overlanding rig… I just like wheeling the big obstacles too much in the jeep! :)
