Jay, your cooking earlier in the video had me drooling but there's something about Mom's cooking that can't be duplicated. While she was rolling the dough I had my mother's voice (1933-2000) in my head and she was telling me not to be afraid of getting your hands in it when you cook. Your Mom is a treasure. Well done.

I was raised in "lovely" foster homes and children's home. I knew who both parents were. Never spent anytime with him but did her here and there. It is quite a different way of life. The last 7 years of her life my youngest two sons , my husband and I would make 4 hour trip to her house to take all food, medicine and drinks, also bathroom needs to her. We did this every other weekend. Had a sister that lived two doors down and she wouldn't even check on her. But I did right by her even though she didn't by me.

I love how gentle you are with your mom. Explaining to her about every bump, slush and potential hazard on the way into your camp. Good son and great mom!

Wow Jay what a thoughtful considerate son I especially liked the fact that you stated how necessary it is to have everything fired up and ready to go. I’m a woman my family and friends always leave the responsibility of gathering supplies up to me. I want things organized and well stocked to be as comfortable as possible ,to see a guy this together taking care of mom is amazing. Well done!

Hi Mom, my Mom is 90 still going strong, when she was about 70 I took her for a ride on my motorcycle, it was a beautiful day, she hadn’t been on the bike for over 30 years, that was with my Dad, she totally enjoyed it, a memory made and cherished, Happy New Year folks ❤

Way to go Mom! I’m 66 and don’t feel a day over 40! I’m always shocked when people refer to me as a senior. Thank heavens I want to stay fit forever and love hiking and camping. I’m pretty sure she feels the same. Keep moving and challenging yourself as long as you can. Love to you both!

It was a pleasure for me laughter smiles and a few tears. I m 79 from BC Jervis Inlet who went North to -50 in 1970 with brother fam and my parents. Later I m back at the coast but later my daughter lives in Whitehorse Yukon and brothers daughter went to Yellowknife Northwest Territories to live with 4 kids as a Lawyer. ❤❤❤

Jay, you may have only spent a couple of hours on this day with your Mom, but you will have the memories for life. Moms are so precious, I lost mine this Fall and I miss her so much. Cherish each and every moment with her, as there is no such thing as insignificant when it comes to Moms. It was great to meet her and I can tell she is very proud of the son she raised.
