Nothing better than camping. It's good for the soul. Add in landscape Photography and you are at peace with the world. I'm extremely thankful I began this journey. Aside of my God who saved my soul, landscape Photography saved my life in a very dark time as a returning combat veteran.. Thank you so much for your continued inspiration Thomas.

Our favorite moments have to be camping in the Eastern Sierras. Our first ball head was designed during our backpacking days and shooting medium and large format film. There is nothing better than the excitement of an adventure and being able to capture the memory of the beauty of nature. Life is Good. I hope your videos inspire others to be a part of the 5% that venture past the side of the road and find their own favorite moments.

Stunning Tom. I remember watching your cloud inversion video 5 or 6 years ago. It was definitely one of the top 3 videos that got me into my crazy hobby. I was gobsmacked by the view from your tent. It came at a point in my life when I needed something inspirational. Thanks mate. I owe ya 👍🏻

You're not alone, Paul. I got a camera in 2013 and started shooting all sorts of stuff, eventually gravitating towards timelapse. That particular video really inspired me, too, and I had a few adventures of my own. I still want more, even now. Even though I'm 55 and haven't been camping for a couple of years... I'm not old yet!

You should do more of these cinematic compilation/montage videos, looking back at the past is honestly so fun to do - and also please make a video about starting out with landscape photography and how you get to where you are (i.e. showing photos from when you were a beginner to where you are now!)

I appreciate that your videos have a tone / theme that I can't quite find the right words to describe. You are talking about photography in its broader and true spirit. A lot of photography channels on YT are really just camera review channels that offer little for photography as an art form.

I'm a beginner level photographer and I have started filming my photography experiences just like you. I hope to get this as a challenge for myself to push myself out more and improve my photography. You have been and still are a great inspiration for me and my photography. I have started to watch all of your videos from the beginning to get ideas for filming. Thanks for everything man, and best wishes 👋👋

I think that image with the tent at the Lake District is the one I would instantly think of when thinking of all your vlogs, if one image were to come to mind. Being outdoors at times and with conditions like that is what it's all about. The best time I've ever had outdoors in nature was at the Lake District at Buttermere on what was the most sensational morning of my life. Like on top of that mountain there was no wind, just complete calm, silence and peacefulness... and the conditions and light were just stunning. I'd love to go camping more though as I've never wild camped anywhere, it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing this video.

Just discovered this video almost a year and a half since you posted it. I've been a subscriber for awhile and have watched a bunch of your previous videos - but this one somehow eluded me until today. I want to start camping this fall in order to photograph sunrises, but I've never packed a tent and gear for an overnight in the wilderness. I found this video to be truly inspiring about what is possible with the investment of time and hard work, not only for the images captured, but for the editing and storytelling which transformed a vlog into a wonderfully crafted documentary-style film. This should be the promo for a university degree in Landscape Photography :) Always enjoy your work.
