What a beautiful little camping spot and all to yourself at this time of year. That's unreal and so cool. Sorry about your fishing rod. I remember my Dad attaching something to his so if it went overboard, it would float. He probably learned that the hard way fishing the rivers and lakes in northern Ontario as a kid.

If you use a magnet, you could probably get your pole back. Lots of people who magnet fish pull rods and reels up out of the water. Just a thought.

Big hook drag with the other pole around the dock for the Shimano.

I'd go back out and snorkel and mask that pole out of the water. You know it's right there by the dock.
