Campground Tour: Kiptopeke State Park, Cape Charles, Virginia
Kiptopeke is on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. It's just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from Virginia Beach. For us, it was a short drive through three tunnels and many bridges. Kiptopeke has a lot to offer. Check out this story from 2022: ourcabinonwheels.com/kiptopek...
Campground Details
Number of sites: 133 sites. Loops A, B and C accommodate RVs; Loops D, E and F are tent only.
Hookups: Several sites on the C Loop have water, electric (30 and 50 amp) and sewer. A and B loops have water and electric, and D and E and F loops have water spigots placed throughout.
Connectivity: OK on T-Mobile, we got one to two bars of 5G.
Bathrooms: Two bathhouses serve the campground. One for Loops A, B and C, and another for Loops D and E.
Campground Amenities: Firewood is available for sale, except when campfires aren't permitted due to weather conditions. There is a visitor center that has gift options, but we've never been by when it was open.

Hi this is a great tour of the campground! We tend to stick to state and national campgrounds rather than private or resort camping and appreciate your tour of this one. How do you like your Safari Condo? Has it been reliable? Thank you.

Buck, we love our Alto. We've had it about 18 months--three extended trips (6 weeks or more) and no problems at all. We also prefer state and national park campgrounds. More tours to come!

@@ourcabinonwheels great news. My wife is so much more nervous than I am to travel long distances to find the right camper at the right price. I have been so impressed by Safari Condo’s light weight yet robust building techniques for years. We just completed our first trip of this season to Trap Pond State Park in Laurel, Delaware! I hope you get out soon and have a great season.
