Campfire Inside Tent - Baking Bread Dutch Oven Cooking - Solo Bushcraft Base Camp Overnighter
Ойын-сауық
Back to the bushcraft basecamp for an overnighter. The sunny weather turned to rain, so my plans for campfire cooking outside turned to campfire cooking indoors to the sound of rain hitting the canvas tent. Tasty food, great ambience and another awesome overnighter in this beautiful spot.

I've spent almost 50 years cooking in the back country. Never liked those premade freezed dried meals so learned early to cook for myself. But that loaf of bread, wow, its beautiful. When you cut it open and buttered it, my mind was screaming "taste it already," and I think I could taste right along with you. Although a vegetarian myself, I've always enjoyed watching you cook and those peppers looked great too. I can imagine a veggie version already. Thanks brother.
There is nothing like the sound of rain on the canvas tent.
Once he thumped the bread, I hit the like button. Amazing!

Well Ric, I think you should have your own "Bushcraft Cooking" show on the food channel. I thought the bread was totally over the top but then you kicked it up a notch with the stuffed bell peppers. I had to go get something to eat. Great show as usual. Again, I appreciate how you pack things and keep everything in your kit in a logical order. Lots of good learning in your vids.
Nagualero is someone that knows how to look after themselves and have a good time, at the same time. Love your way of life.
Your tent trip beats any hotel room. Looks fun
Stuffed red peppers! Thank you. Every piece of equipment, every tool is of excellent quality.
Wonderful cooking ideas! Didn't know you could bake bread like that. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

That bread had me salivating. Everything looked amazing and peaceful. Got me jealous sitting here working on a weekend in 120F Arizona. Thank you for sharing brother.
Bravo Ric!! You dude have no doubt the best channel in my book. Baking bread in a tent with a campfire in it. It was like quit playing the bongos and cut into that masterpiece,I’m waiting. LOL Thanks for sharing another awesome video Ric and ATB. Mike
Oh what a feeling you must've had there ... everything to make a perfect overnighter. That food combined with the rain on the tarp would be awesome. Thanks for the recipes they're a must try for me. Great vlog as alw asys enjoy these. Bushyboy Oz.

Thank you Chef. Your vids are a great help in maintaining sanity in Houston.
Very nice video, great shelter set up, with handy items to use for enjoyment!
You've inspired me to start baking my own bread at home. The bread at all of the local markets is expensive and usually only a couple of days from being stale. Not to mention just not very tasty. If you can bake bread in your tent, surely I can do it at home.
Cracking video really enjoyed this that bread looked perfectly cooked atvb Jimmy 🤟🤟🤟
good video, the best : no jingle, no backpipe
Outstanding.
That looked awesome!!
Very calming, and a fantastic cook !👌👌
Wow that's awesome bread!!
BREAD LOOKS AWSOME RIC.👌👍
you are a magician. well done.

Fantastic.
For some strange reason I'm always hungry after I watch your videos. ;)
Amazing sir🙏.
Agree completely with "Elwha", you should have a bushcraft cooking show as a serie, maybe 10 episodes or so, doing different stuff and explain certain difficulties for each particular episode. I tried to do a fire in my tipi, just the same you have, ( I also have a safire 5 light) but had a smoky experience. Using Tentipis firebox 7 was a bit better, gave a quite noticable heat, was less smoky and I just felt a bit safer. But still, the use of wood from the camp site thats usually humid, makes it challenging to keep the fire burn somewhat smoke free.Having the fire going inside though is really nice when it works, the soft light, the warming, the drying capacity and just the quiet sound from the fire ( no spruce!!) is really nice and relaxing. I guess your general bushcraft skills and your experience from many many fires make you more succesful than I was with the plain fire on the ground inside the tent. Really nice video. thank you very much. Bo Nilsson
As always super👍
Another awesome video Brother... Love being in the tent when it's raining. That bread was flipping incredible, and that stuffed pepper looked great too! TFS Cheers

omg found this video late night and you made me and my gf go get a drink watching this video. we were trying to figure out what you were making and why you were doing all these (to us) crazy cooking things till the end. then it made sense when you cut out the top of the pepper. but then you didn’t bake it at the end and just started chowing down. was very entertaining to watch. liked and subscribed and please keep these types of videos going.
Thumbs up!!! Clark
love it. from bekasi.
We miss you sir. I feel 🥵 while you’re making fire inside the tent. It’s summmmmmmmmer. Nice video 🌹

Hi there. I think you were a chef in your previous life,, cooking up food like that in a teepee out in a meadow in the rain ,, awesome . from Florida
thanks
Soooo yummy 😋 mitai 😋😋😋
Oh, my. The only time for me to watch one of your videos where cooking is involved, is right after a full meal. Otherwise I'm up raiding the kitchen for ingredients, then outside in the back yard cooking. Fine video, as usual. Back when I had a real tipi (sixty or so years ago) the top where the smoke flaps were eventually got really stiff from soot and creosote. Eventually made it hard to roll up and pack away.
Good🎉😊
Q buena vida amigo t felisito ... saludos....!
Beatuful eat
At first when I saw you were making a fire inside the tent I said to myself , that guy gonna get smoked like a salmon 😂 . I then saw the convertible tent with an opening, witch was the first time I see something like that. Ever tried it in winter ? Also, the food you make is awsome, a little jealous I am . Thank's for taking time to show all the preparation for the food and for the nice video. Only one thing bothering me when you prepare your food is your hands not washed enough, but It's only me , dont bother 😂 see you in the next 👍

Maestro Nagaulero, you had so much meat in that Dutch oven were you expecting some bears over for dinner? Your meals always amaze. Some food for thought. Next time you make that dough thats as soft as a babies bum, before you put it in the fire pull half out put sone big fat slices of pepperoni, then some slices of mozzarella and then some Pecorino Romano then put the dough on top. Put on the fire. Its a one pot meal you will win over all your Italian KZread viewers! Known in these parts as a Calzone. Great video as always! Regards from the land of great Italian food, New York. :-)
Man, dont cook so good looking food's i'm hungry here!!
Nice video ... though the sad thing about the whole thing is that we are all not there, and now we all want some (or at least i would), but can't have it...
You sure are a quiet man.

And how refreshing it is.
This is just me but I would have added dehydrated mushrooms and veggies to the hamburger mix, possibly rice. Then after stuffing, wrap the bell peppers in tin foil and place on the coal bed. 😍

The person nag, has great skills and discipline to think go slowly and complete tasks at hand most effectively! They nag, are well practiced at cooking and can make do in a primitive environment! The person nag, never rushes and fucks things up and burns everything! That’s a lot of gear to be packing though! I think nag is on a canoe though?

Truck and a sled in winter. There is a forest road not too far from the camp. When I need too I use transportation instead of hiking. So weight is not a problem on this camp

Hello. As always, you are very tasty and you are ready. My friend Petromax ft3, especially in the oven, it turns out very tasty and high quality.
When you built the fire at the beginning and smoked it out,is that to drive away any insects and rodents that might be in your tent?
@NagualeroArt
5 жыл бұрын
Cool that you noticed that. It was for insects. If you look closely at the shot showing the tipi roof hole you can see 2 wasp nests. Small ones . The smoke made them leave. Rodents dart off the minute they feel footstep vibrations.
wonderful video and loved your camp. too bad you had rain most of time. food looked great im going to try your bread receipe. do you cook at home too?

Yes, but further up north. when I camp there i approach my cooking and location differently
Your talent for creating something out of so-called little or nothing is very entertaining and bewundernswert. Alright, alright, so the bread's ok. Like you suggest, seeing is believing. I had serious doubts. The are quite a few amusing moments in many of your videos. I wonder if you realise that?
I like your tent where did you get it looks very spacy ,
