CAMPERVAN UPPER CUPBOARDS | When To Use FORSTNER DRILL BITS | Richelieu Hinges | EPISODE 6 PART 2

If you’re interested in getting a van built by us we’re now filling client builds slots. Contact us through our website to get started www.moonlitcampers.ca
This is the second video showing how we designed and built our upper cupboards. We show you our planning thought process for deciding on hinges (Richelieu Inset Eurohinge) and how we installed them. We used a Ryobi set of Forstner Drill Bits to drill the holes for the hinges and Richelieu Duo Flap Stay supports to keep the doors held open.

Upper cupboards are essential for maximizing your storage space in a campervan. What's otherwise wasted space above your bed and kitchen becomes huge bulk storage that can be organized any way you like. We used IKEA door faces to finish off the cupboards, because you can't get a cleaner finish than those factory sprayed doors, and it's an easy way to make your campervan feel like a real home!
We've got a bunch more instructional and DIY videos coming your way from our 2018 Promaster including:
- Designing and building a U- Lounge seating for up to 6 people with custom upholstery (family van)
- A second pull out bed for families or guests
- Installing a huge skylight right over the bed for stargazing
- Custom upper and lower cabinetry
- Swivel seats
- Complete off-grid solar electrical system
- Various lighting around the van and accent floor 'mood' lighting
- Kitchen with full-size stainless steel sink and instant hot water
- Installing propane in your van
- An outdoor shower
And so much more!

Really enjoying this build series! And Richelieu is pronounced Rish-e-loo (the e in the middle sounds like the e in “get”) 🙂
