Those things are big tinder boxes. Not much to do but stand back and get the weenies while you wait for the sound of fire trucks. Like you said, it was insured and nothing else got wrecked, not as bad as it could be

@@TopLineRacer ya I've not seen a lithium battery fire yet but I've been told they are violent, the current guidance for fire departments with them is pretty much "we don't know what to do with them" 😬

Sorry for your loss of your camper. Least no one was hurt and it is insured things can always be replaced but people can’t.

Insured a camper that was going to start leaking the first time it was exposed to any rain. Then a battery pack causes that fire. Smart of you or dumb fire inspectors.

Yeah we already sent that info to the insurance company so we will see what happens.

Oh I think it's salvageable.. just a little cleaning and couple tires and she'll be good to go. Sorry to see all the hard work end up like that.

Actually already have a partially burnt 40' Raptor toy hauler that we were going to do that with.

My guess is water got to the wiring. I'm guessing something was arcing to ground good and long enough to cause a real nice hot fire.

i just bought a 4000 amp Gooloo. Pray for me

Yep it was insured thankfully!

Up in smoke is where my troubles go. In my lungs and sometimes up my nose.

Well comon sense would be if noticed that there was a fire you should taken the jugs of antifreeze stuff that you had just brought up to the camper and dumped them on it to douse it out right quick

Common sense notices that we said the bottles of Antifreeze had already been dumped into the camper. And I'm pretty darn sure if two full fire extinguishers didn't put it out, then the Antifreeze wasn't going to do a thing. Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah lithium batteries are crazy dangerous when they go up. The Corvette is just outside for the day while we work on some other projects.

Well you mean a Chinese battery pack shorted and caught fire.? Weird, by the way lithium battery is almost invisible to a fire extinguisher. I've had 2 trucks catch fire while working with them. As soon as the suppressant is down the oxygen reignited it. So you almost had no hope with two 2lb. Extinguishers.

You may want to move that red Tesla away from your house as well😉 Glad everyone is alright!!

@@TopLineRacer i am very overly cautious especially when it comes to vehicles i do everything by the book and don't take chances with short cuts. Check double check and triple check and still keep one eye on it lol

No one was hurt, there were no cars or anything next to it, it was insured, no more working on it; all things considered, it cauld have been ALOT worse...imagine if it was down next to the house!
