This camp... close to 40 years ago... changed my life, and helped grow me into the person I am today. I cant believe its still here, and that so many of the original staff are, as well, and this just literally brought a tear to my eye to find. If I can find a way to send my family there in the near future, I will do so. Thank you SO much for being a major influence in my life, which turned me into a naturalist, environmentalist, sustainable living advocate, personal responsibility advocate that I am today, and for showing me nature in a way I had never experienced it before. Thank you.

Sarah et al - Beautiful video! Camp U has meant so much to our family, I can hardly say it all. It has been the coming of age youth group every child should have as their butterfly selves emerge into adulthood. It is why Julian is homesteading in Orleans, why Seferina attended Humboldt state, (studying Early Childhood Ed), and why Grandma (M) and Papan visited camp on at least 3 occasions (Family Days, etc etc). I'm not sure if/how I'll be back for a visit, at my advanced age, but so glad that my grandchildren are becoming part of the Camp U community. ♥♡ Mara Rivera

I went here as a kid. I recognized Nico and Jessie on here and I’ve had great memories of them. Amazing people and amazing times. Wouldn’t mind helping out one day

What incredible, sweet memories your video brought back! (1976 - 1984). Unalayee made a HUGE (positive) impact in/on my life. I am so happy when I remember my experiences... Thank You Unalayee!

I went from around 91-95. Fantastic memories. I couldn't wait for the reunion picnics, either.

@@ddthompson42 YES!! All of them! OMG Sergio Manodori! I think I had a schoolgirl crush on him haha! I haven't heard Bubbie's name in forever. Do you remember the name of the craft shack guy? The one who always goes off about unnecessary packaging/ wrappers? Long hair?

@@mayumic.6715 I don’t! But I almost broke my femurs at the craft shack. I was sitting on the bench with my legs under the table; soapstone carving, I think. Everyone else was sitting on top and the table collapsed on me! Sergio ran to get a stretcher; that’s how bad it looked. But I was fine 😂 Anyway, I still have a Camp U tie-dye; wish I had some of the leather stuff we used to make.
