Camp Three | Sequoia National Forest | Kern River, California | Site by Site Exploration

Camp Three is one of many campgrounds situated along the Kern River, near Kernville, California. This particular campground is one of the Sequoia National Forest campgrounds, and you can reserve sites on recreation.gov.
This area is known for river floats and water activities, as well as fishing. Although hard to see in this drive thru at times, many of the sites back up against the river, which is never far away.
We didn't spend a night here yet, but in our drive through we remarked how many of these sites appear to have great privacy. Kudos to whoever designed this campground! Please go teach some of our National Parks how to properly construct a campground that caters to basic human psychology!
Anyway, well done Camp Three, and the drive thru alone made us want to hunker down in the Kernville area for a day or two!

I’m really glad that we stayed at another campground when we visited Sequoia. Butt ugly pretty much describes this place, just my opinion.
