I noticed the dollar general now carries the Hereford meatballs. We keep those and the taco meat in our pantry.
Good review and extra points for correctly pronouncing Hereford.
I have some of those in my stash, but haven’t tried them yet. I did try the Herefords shredded beef though... it was edible but needed a lot of help from the spice cabinet. For $5.00, it wasn’t too bad,and it is pretty convenient 👍🏻

Nice, I was wondering about the other rip n ready products they have.
😊look like it’s worth a try. Good meal for the woods or bench. Thanks and take care 😊
Excellent idea for the trail
Knorr rice sides with seasoned ground meat dehydrated from home is beyond filling and delicious.
Just found these a couple weeks ago at my local Dollar General and picked 2 packages up. I was thinking meatball subs, but with tortillas.

Sounds great! I bet you could wrap them in foil and heat them on a grill.

Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I finally found some of these at a local Dollar General. Can't wait to try them out myself on my next campout.
Love the content! Just saw these at Walmart and was looking for a review. Can't wait to try them!
I just tried the Hereford Meatballs, found them to be edible; not gross but not great. A good emergency/trail meal. The shredded beef is better, but bland. Based on your scale, I would give both 3 Bear Paws.I prefer the canned Keystone beef, but the Hereford is easier to transport for a hiking, backpacking application because of the light packaging. I use the Keystone beef at home sometimes when I make tacos or nachos; 5 Bear Paws for the Keystone brand. Thank you for creating and sharing this video.
Never saw the Hereford rip ready packers, only the tinned beef. May try to source some. Thanks for the heads ip
Good to see you back! How about pigs in blanket, maybe use the precooked bacon which will travel good on the trail and little smokys will last a day or so on the trail especially if you freeze them before you start hiking. Cheers
Glad your back i enjoy the video's

Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad to be back.
It’s nice to just rip and eat. Like your Jetboil! For folks who gush over vi-en-ers, meatballs sounds like gourmet! Enjoyed it Bear!

You got that right! Yea the Jetboil is great for a quick boil. It goes on some of my car camping and canoe / kayak trips. I've found I have other systems I prefer for backpacking though.
Plain Old Chuck talked about this video and the meatballs. I am now a new subscriber

Glad to have you along.
Great back in the outdoors, at the table and cooking. Enjoyed the tail&camp last week but missed it he is cooking. Hopefully you haven't retired the knife. Welcome back and will put some thoughts into some trail snacks to share with you 🙂

Glad to be back. Still cooking. It really depends on my trip and how much prep time I have when I go though. I keep a couple of buckets with dehydrated meals I can grab from if it is a last minute trip or multiple days on the trail.
What happened to Bear??? I love his cook videos.... they made me feel good... and i genuinely loved his personality.... hope all is well mate? Hoping you start making videos again! Much love from Australia.
I would buy them if they had them up here. Thank you for the great review, Bear. Stay safe and stay warm

You bet
Looks good, quick and easy clean up, thanks for sharing. How about small potato pancakes with jalapenos. A packet of instant potato, jalapeno, powdered milk, ghee, water, salt and pepper, fried in a small skillet. I can't lie, I eat these a little more than I should, but they are tasty and something different.

My man your back !
Thanks for another affordable and easy camp idea! I've been trying for a while, with poor results, to make popcorn on the trail over a backpacking stove. That's a snack I always crave sitting around camp.
Hey Bear, great to see you back. Shredded cheese and some chopped onions might be a good addition to the meatballs...

That would be great!
I hope all is well, 🙂
Not sure how I’ve missed your last couple videos. Good eating there.
Missed these trail meal videos.... I love meatballs going to have to look for these....
Looked good and rip & ready 🤗 Oh yeah ! Could be kept low carb with using spaghetti squash or even spiral 🌀 squash noodles that would be easy for trail travel. Good to see you again Bear
Popcorn in the jetboil 🙂👍
My mom makes a good meatball dish with those pre-made meatballs that you get like in the freezer section at Walmart you mix a bottle of Heinz chili sauce and you mix a can of cranberry sauce together and heat it up and pour it over the meatballs and get them all warm really good like in a slow cooker

Sounds like a winner.
I've got some haven't tried them yet
Good morning Bear. Are these made by the same company that puts out Hereford Corned Beef? They certainly looked tasty enough. Thanks for the review. Have a great week and stay safe on the trail. God bless. 🙂🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hey brother could you do a fish fry sort of deal for a video. Maybe a catch and cook
That really looks good Bear. I wonder if boiling spaghetti noodles with that would be good. Wouldn't be hard to pack in. Good to see you again Bear

That would totally work. If you used some dehydrated noodles (noodles you have cooked at home then dehydrated), ramen or rice noodles they will cook up in the same 3 minutes also.
crackers and cheese and if you want two get fancy throw i piece of pepperoni and toast them
I would have to try them with some Ramen Noodles or Angle Hair Pasta. Actually any quick cooked pasta. After all you have 2/3 of a good meal in the bag , why not add 1/3 more.
Great review, don't think they sell them here in Michigan. But thanks for sharing. I'd like to see you make some bacon wrapped smoked sausage. Take care.
