if it were up to me, camilo would have tried to use his gift to cheer up mirabel after her failed gift ceremony. he only meant well but it would end up hurting her more. this would explain why they dont interact much, they weren't as close as they were in the movie than they most likely would have been as kids. i find that kind of strange since they lived their first 5 years together in the same room, so i think something would have happened between them that made them not talk to each other much. of course camilo had duties to fill because of his gift and mirabel would constantly try to prove her worth for years to come, but i think thats just a factor of what seperated them over the years

@@pasteldragon5132 That would make sense. Idk, I just think the filmmakers wanted viewers to focus more on Mirabel's sisters than her cousins. I think they do have a strong bond that we don't get to see but that's just my headcannon.

i would think that he wouldnt speak much and just try to comfort her as much as possible without trying to get too much into the topic of not getting a gift. i think the reason that they separated was because of time... camilo having duties in town and stuff while all mirabel could do was either sew or sing the family madrigal to a bunch of annoying kids lol, except mirabel never wanted to be alone, its just how things went due to abuela always enforcing the children's gifts as their importance

They are so cute together! The fact that Camilo got less then 4 minutes of screen time makes me want to ask Disney for ENCANTO 2
