Songs My Mother Taught Me Songs my mother taught me In the days long vanish'd Seldom from her eyelids Were the teardrops banish'd Now I teach my children Each melodious measure oft the tears are flowing oft they flow from my mem'ry treasure

Thx for the lyrics
She is one with her instrument and thus she is one with Dvorak's beautiful music. So lovely, and what a backdrop!
The passion and emotions come following not only from the beautiful composition but also the cellist. Wonderful rendition.
Absolutely beautiful. We need more of this beauty in our world right now. Thank you so much. BRAVO
The beauty of it hurts my heart.
That performance was beyond lovely! Thanks Deutsche Grammophon for posting this and a special thanks to Camille Thomas who always plays with such incredible sensitivity and emotion. What a rare and precious musical treat.
Beautiful piece, played with such a depth of feeling. As a Mum I felt it as I listened. Thank you for sharing this.
A beautiful rendition of a beautiful piece of music. I think that Dvorak is such underated composer. He should be up there with the greats. He was so humble.

Indeed he is up there with the greats - nowadays, I actually see more Dvorak and Mahler played than Mozart or Beethoven :-)

@@LorenzoDeLeonYes I do too. I'm a cellist and Dvorak is my fave
Hauntingly beautiful...but also very sorrowful...
It reminds me of my mother everything that was pure and good very good
NO instrument can beat the cello!!!!!! Beautiful rendition too!

NICE ! THANK YOU ! Esther & Etienne Kervyn Miller
Such an emotional performance of such a touching piece. No wonder all the animals are standing totally still so they do not miss a note. I was mesmerized, just like them.
Makes you cry but sometimes a good alarm for medicines at bed time
My gosh that tone.😮
❤
wow

I would love to hear you play Dvorák's 8 Humoresques, Op. 101, B. 187: No. 7, Poco lento e grazioso!
💖💖💖👍👍👍
This performance is very touching. But this performing place (National Museum of Natural History) in this clip is very weird for me because the background are animals statue. If she (Camille Thomas) joined more musician up to 10 players performing "Carnival of the Animals" Suite (Le carnaval des animaux) by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. That's a perfectly and fit for this place.

Everything excepting the performer are the past life and hence physical memories. An intellectual setting choice.
😍🎶🌟👏🌹
Just by listening the emotions surge up within me . I surrender myself to the breathtaking melody of sorrow and nostalgia that she plays From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
👏

No entiendo por qué DG hace estos videoclips en sitios tan espeluznantes como éste. ¿Para epatar? Camille Thomas se merece otra cosa.
no publicais piezas completas?
So many people, especially children ,are being left in darkness. Never exposed to the lovely melodies and compositions created in times now buried deep in the rubbish of what is acceptable music to the unfortunate public.
This arrangement is in E flat major and not in D?
Where’s this location? Is that a scene of Noah’s Ark in the background? 😮
When feat Hauser, Madam ?
Very nice. Not sure about the dead animals, though.
Hi! How are you? ; South Korea/Seoul started the cold spell this week. The average temperature is -12'C. It snowed. I hope you have a healthy day this week. ^O^
자연사박물관에서 연주하면서 표범가죽이 연상되는 무늬의 옷을 입다니... 의도한 것일까?
Perhaps the ﹰﹰNMNH is not the right place to play so beautiful a melody. I had to close my eyes to enjoy it. The exhibits diminish the 'presence' of the artist.

DEAD ANIMALS ARE CREEPY - WHO THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE ENTERTAINING?
Just asking. Are those real stuffed animals? So much killing of beautiful animals you never know. Well I couldn't enjoy this video because the background concerns me
Beautiful music. But a parade of dead animals? No.
