Camila Cabello On Mental Health And The Importance Of Self Care

Ойын-сауық

Camila Cabello was honored today at Variety‘s Power of Women event, presented by Lifetime, for her work with the Movement Voter Fund to launch the Healing Justice Project.
Alongside fellow honorees Drew Barrymore, Kim Cattrall, Queen Latifah and Amanda Seyfried, Cabello took to the stage to address mental health. “Through the Healing Justice Project, we empower organizers to focus on their own healing while also addressing the generational systemic violence and oppression that is felt by so many communities,” Cabello explained. “They’re constantly giving all of themselves but rarely have the support to fill their own cup. My mental health journey showed me that no matter who you are, no matter how much you love what you do, you can’t keep going if you don’t have the resources, time, space and tools to heal.”
“I realized the importance of taking care of myself, but even more so, I realized that I need to help others do the same, to ensure that the grassroots organizers who carry our world on their shoulders and move us forward, have access to the resources that helped change everything for me.”

What an inspiring speech and I feel so proud having to witness her all these years grow into this beautiful person. Proud of her roots , genuine representation of us immigrants who come with nothing and have to strive really hard to built a future for ourselves and our family. It takes a lot to be real and vocal in this industry and I am glad she is that and for all the right things

she's so young and yet has done a lot for other people. I love her, i love that she's out there educating and inpiring a lot of old people like me, people her age and even younger. I feel proud of her and so relieved to see that we're leaving this world to incredible humans like her.

The thing is that she's not "another celebrity". Sure, she has wealth (earned honestly from an early age), but she uses her advantages to help others, dresses completely normal when she goes to the market, flies commercial, talks to people like they're her neighbors and keeps working hard with herself, for her growth. That. When she could spend all her money on glamorous expensive products, 10 houses, yachts and islands. I guess investing in herself, in her knowledge, mental health and in other people works better for her.

How do you know she doesn’t spend $ on expensive products? Neither of us live with her. And if she went shopping in luxurious clothing, what would that change about her contribution to the world? This sounds just judgemental and low key misogynistic toward women who present themselves to be feminine and or luxurious at all times. What matters most is who you are, how you treat people and how u spend your time on earth.

She has said that she doesn’t like travel in private planes. Based on the way of constructing your argumentation, this sounds low key that slavery and very low payment in the Asian factories where a lot of luxurious products are made would be ok... Agree with you, it does matter the way you treat people, all the people.

I loved her speech. She is such an influence to this generation. She uses her voice to be informed and talk about important topics. She is extremely humble and shares her personal struggles instead of hiding them and pretending to be a perfect human just because she is in the spot light. She comes from a well grounded family. Which lots of love and companion.

Lots of love and compassion for everyone but the Black community seemingly, referencing her failure to defend her Black bandmate against those of her fans who were horrifically bullying her, and regarding her racist tumblr posts. This is common is Latinx families unfortunately as a Latina myself and it was very disappointing but predictable to witness. It does seem as though she’s grown more cognizant of her own healing journey and has grown from an ignorance that often leaves Black folks nearby feeling the burden of such lack of actions and ignorant behavior. I’m glad she’s seemingly grown and using her platform to contribute.

@@SupernaturalLove100 As a black woman , she has headed so many projects which continues to fund our BLM movements, small businesses and her mental healing project's biggest takers are blacks , our community. You all need to do your research before joining a mindless clout on social media and discounting everything she has done. I don't like or hate Normani , nor do I have to support her solely because I am black , but that woman herself never stood up when Camila was trolled , sent rape threats and bullied all those years. And I do recall Camila taking a stand on her Twitter when she was part of the group. Either educate yourself better or leave it and stop spreading lies.

@@MusicLover-tl7mu You’re lying. You’re mad and or misinformed bc she’s been held accountable for her past racist behavior. & deflecting by mentioning the typical and small hate she received compared to the racial hatred Normani received from CAMILAS fanbase in which they photoshopped her face onto pictures of lynched bodies. every single group-mate named Normani by NAME when penning a response to the racist abuse she was getting from Camila’s fans who claimed to be fans of the group also, yet when it came to Camila’s time to respond to her OWN segment of deranged and racist fans via twitter, she put out a cryptic ass response without directly addressing Normani. That is half assed pathetic pandering. Camila knows she did wrong and has already addressed her racist ideologies for which she had to take classes for. Normani already addressed years later in an interview how she felt betrayed and unimportant to Camila compared to her fans who WERE her fans bc they reasoned that they were sending her racist abuse due to a part in an interview in which she hesitated to describe Camila in one word. You can’t rewrite history no matter how desperate 💀 Keep crying and trying to rewrite history! The truth is available with one google search! 🤡

the problem of the moment mental health is something that you have to look at and observe and verify because mental health has to be a priority because so many people commit suicide because they don't have strength and faith in god in others in allah mental health is a cause of health unfortunately publishes in brazil does not give much priority but the population in the global world in each country has to look and take care we are all subject to this
