There's something pure about this song

This song really hit hard especially after everything that's going on.

My heart breaks while reading all the stories about their fathers in the comments bc mine is neither dead nor my parents are divorced and i just don‘t have this father-daughter-relationship but i would do anything to have a father who walks me to the aisle or dances with me on my wedding, someone i can actually talk to and share my feelings. I cried. This song is full of emotions. It’s heartwarming. It makes me think about my brother-in-law that considers me as a daughter. Growing up without a real father figure is sad and pain. But I’m thankful now that there’s someone like a Dad besides me.

Flex Hadjivasilis It’s totally possible though! Check out Truth Is by Sabrina Claudio she has a spanish version of the song as well and the lyrics are not identical. They might have different lyrics but the message is still the same.

Yeah..I know this song is about her dad. But honestly, this one's more about my mom for me. Lost her in late September. Cancer. Three years. It hurts, though it's been a while. She was always there for me, through the good and bad. The first one to really love me, the one to teach me that love exists, and isn't something we just hear about. She was everything to me. She went through so much, never showed how much the chemo affected her, until the end. We never saw it coming, it happened by really fast. They said she had maybe a month left, but in reality, we had a week left with her. I still have my dad, but let's be honest, mothers and daughters get along better. We were so close. Even writing this makes me cry. Good luck to all of those who've lost people. It hurts, but we have to move on, even if we break down once in a while.

This shows not how much her dad means to her but how much he must have dedicated himself for her future and his family that she thought he deserved a song. Yet it is just a small ode that can be given to a parent.
