Can we just stop and look at this video from the creative view. Starts in fall all cuddled up with someone she loves but then in the winter the relationship is becomes negative. When Camila realizes that she is now better off alone and that someone she loved didn’t really love her it’s spring time and she is ready to conquer the world on her own. Creatively this was such a beautiful concept and I loved it immensely. So proud of Camila and how far she has come on her own since 2017 when she left to follow her own music.

The video was just simple and raw but it was deep. She loved him so much that's why it also hurts so much when they were over. She's moving on but she can't help but reminisce the old times. Love is so beautiful. It could make us do things we never thought we'll do for love and heal from the pain we never expect we will get over from. But at the end of the day, even how much we have loved someone, the person that we will and should still love the most and first are ourselves. So proud of you Camila. Camila crossed paths with Ed several times when working on her debut album Camila, even recording a song that he wrote for her, before then deciding not to include it on the final tracklist. One song that did make the cut was Consequences; while not written by Ed, he was the one who introduced Camila to it. Amy Wadge, the country music songwriter who co-wrote the song, has explained to Music Week how the song ended up on Camila's lap. It was down to one middle man, Mr Sheeran. When asked whether the song was written for Camila in mind, Amy confirmed that it wasn't: "No. I wrote it with Nicolle Galyon and Emily Weisband, then played it to Ed and he said, ‘You know who you need to send this to?’ So he sent it to her [Camila], she worked her magic, wrote a bit as well and that’s how it came to life. He’s always got my back, he’s a very generous soul and he always listens to everything I do. He’s incredibly generous like that."

This song is about realizing an abusive relationship. She was madly in love and it blinded her to the distructivness of the relationship. He didn't trust her without reason. She says the glasses couldn't fix him, they couldn't make her see clearly enough to make it all right no matter how hard she tried. They were both keeping secrets from each other. He was probably not telling her the truth and she was hiding things to keep from triggering his anger. He became physically abusive. Dirty tissues from crying and stop the bleeding. They were both consumed with each other and that gave her a sense of peace and love, but it was bittersweet because the abuse caused it to be a dark and deep abyss. Although I relate to this story and my personal interpretation has nothing to do with a physically abusive relationship. Mine has to do with miscarriage, a person outside of my committed relationship saving me from my own deep depression and the collateral damage that it caused.

@@ellajones6812 Camila wrote it along with Amy. The song is about her past relationship and she has said it. Ed introduced Amy to her , but the song was written by both of them. Don't take away anyone's credit or discount anybody's talent

I have to be honest, I have NEVER been a fan of Camila Cabello (I have NOTHING against her, whatsoever! I think she has a lovely voice and she has a lot of potential and talent - I simply never had an interest in pop music), but I came across this song as I was working at Target and I decided to give it a chance because the lyrics really caught my attention and at the time, I was going through a toxic relationship. Today, I finally looked at the video and I actually CRIED. The story in the video and the meaning that I was able to interpret is so powerful. When we feel that we're "in love", we "ignore every siren", as the song mentions. We only focus on the "safe and sound" place in our significant other. We avoid all red flags, and even when we do slightly acknowledge them, we pay no heed to it, because we love that person, and dont see how they're affecting us mentally, emotionally, and physically. I was in a relationship where I was constantly at blame for arguments that I didnt initiate, I would stop eating because of the stress, because my ex would ignore me intentionally and wouldn't speak to me for weeks at a time and then would yell at me for not trying harder.. In addition, he broke up with me ten times during the nine months we dated, and would blame me for being the reason as to why. "Loving you was dumb, dark, and deep", were the lyrics that made me cry as I watched this video - and then seeing Camila hold hands with her past self, as she gives her a reassuring nod, because she saved herself. She was able to overcome THAT. It IS NEVER easy to let go of a TOXIC person. We love hard and deep and avoid the sirens, but then the consequences just... happen. To every young girl and boy who are in toxic relationships, you are NOT alone. You are so much more than what you think you are, and you deserve to feel at ease around your significant other. To Camila Cabello, your music is so inspiring, and you have such a beautiful voice. Thank you, Queen
