At the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, Cameron Smith carded 65-64-64-65 to set the PGA TOUR’s all-time 72-hole scoring record at 34-under par, winning his fourth PGA TOUR title.

2022 kicks off in Hawaii at the Sentry Tournament of Champions with 38 of the 39 PGA TOUR winners from the 2021 calendar year teeing it up. Harris English looks to become the first person to successfully defend his title at the tournament since Geoff Ogilvy in 2009 and 2010. World No. 2 Collin Morikawa has a chance to overtake Jon Rahm for the top spot in the Official World Golf Rankings but the Spaniard will be hoping to keep his accolade as he returns to action for the first time since the Fortinet Championship. Xander Schauffele, who won the event in 2019, is in the field thanks to his gold-medal performance in Tokyo Olympics last summer. Other winners of the tournament who are teeing it up again include Justin Thomas (2017 & 2020), Jordan Spieth (2016) and Patrick Reed (2015). Meanwhile, the likes of Cameron Davis, Garrick Higgo and K.H. Lee will make their maiden appearances on the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort after becoming first-time PGA TOUR winners last year.

That mullet is living rent free in his opponent's heads. Glorious.
What's ridiculous as well is 2 other players being better than -30 😂 imagine shooting that score and not winning 😂

You can talk all you like about the course being too easy but count those long-range putts Smith made. What a dude!

Cam just chilling playing a good round of golf, having fun. Rahm walking like he has just shot someone, playing so serious and competitive. Polar opposites, love it!
Crazy how well you have to play to win these days.played that well and only won by 1 shot.

It’s good that the sport is this competitive though. Rather than having a tiger woods monopoly going on. Top football teams only beat each other by 1-2 goals…
Rahm had an INSANE game as well but smith was lights out with his puts no man on earth could catch him that day

People have run out of superlatives and are recycling for the 10th time. Cam was a putting machine out there from all distances. BRAVO!

Oh lord ,superb golf all round,congratulations to Mr smith, the hole must be the size of a sink in his eyes, best golf I've seen in years to have so many shoot great scores.
First time I have seen a network put a level on the golf course to convince us how difficult this course is. Seriously 😳 they are probably splitting at the seams laughing across the pond😎
What a shootout between Rahm and Cam. Cam is going to break time tested records in his career. Absolute Phenom!
What’s most impressive to see is how good he’s become with the putter. I see him in a green jacket.

Exactly ! If you hit most approach shots within 10 feet, why would it matter if you only make 30% of those putts?

BS. His stats on round 4 show a 320yards driving average with a 93.33% driving accuracy (!) and 88% greens in regulation. So, he didn't really need his short game, and in putting, he was only a little bit (0.284 strokes) above field average.

@@Threepi80 his putting average was 1.50 into Sunday, that’s insane. He made some long range putts, just because you’re hitting the GIR doesn’t mean it’s going to be an easy putt. He used that putter more than that driver or those irons.

What’s ridiculous is the scoresheet for the other players…just 1 stroke behind him. Surely the course was set up too easy. Long range puts are easier if the approach and greens are set up to be less challenging. If he was -34 and the others were in the teens then we’d be a lot more convinced.

@@tikkabrno Ok…if the greens are set up to be less challenging, as these seemed to be, then long range puts, which otherwise might have been difficult, become easier. No championship course should be set up to have so many scoring such high numbers below par.

Driving length and driving accuracy was, actually. Putting was only a little bit over average, they are all putting so well out there...

A lot of those birdies were from driven greens and two-putts. I’m in two minds whether to be insanely impressed (I am) or mournful that it somehow doesn’t seems right that the game can be played by hitting 400yd drives.

According to Jon Rahm; without any wind the Golf Course offers no defense to even 36 under. Ernie Els -31 record was much more difficult in windy conditions.

There is no cut. Its 32 players max. All 32 play all 4 days

Idk but the top three finished with an average of -33 so that’s pretty insane
