I’m Somali and the camel 🐪 is a really big part of our culture. Historical records show that the camel was first domesticated in Somalia 🇸🇴 around 3000 BC Our ancestors were nomads who roamed the land always moving, looking for fresh pasture and water. Even today, there are many nomads in Somalia who follow the old traditions of camel herding.

Just discovered this magic music, and halfway through when my neighbor called me crying because their German-shepherd Sheba passed tonight. We knew it was coming but we are learning to cry and grieve together. I buried 2 dear pets last week and it was unbelievably hard and beautiful. Tears are rain from heaven and salt from the ocean. Cleansing.

Joshua Tree - unexpected hiking stop with an old boyfriend - climbing and sweating hard to reach a rock bowl to curl up in and get high on the sky. Adjusting to total silence over hours. Waking up freezing and laughing with coyotes. Magic. I have about 10 of those experiences that I intend to tell souls on the other side, that will convince them it was worth all the other b.s. to come to this place.

I remember the days l lived in the desert north of Winslow Arizona as young boy mules was what we had during the 1960 1970s but the elderlys that brought them all have goin to there resting grave so sad that we don't have it around anymore may they all rest in peace 🙏✌️

I always admire the desert and revel in its pure beauty. A picturesque desert view...a walk with a camel, stretching caravans at sunset....the views are truly unique, and all because there are no big cities around, there is nothing that could sneak in and disturb the natural color of the sky...Beautiful video with relaxing music.
