We’re booked for three nights at the Park Hyatt where we have two rooms for a family of four. The points redemption made it a no brainer because one room was booked all on points. Based on your review, I have made some proactive communication with the PH Concierge to make sure we have our needs met.

Not sure of how much better you've done for yourselves financially compared to 11 years ago, but your lux Cambodia videos were very very out of touch with what's actually going on.. 1. You can get much much better and more beautiful boutique hotels that are better than any of the ones you picked for much much less. Around $35 a night in a lot of places. 2. If you had the Grab app on your phone you could take tuk tuks all over the place for $1-1.50 each ride, not $5-10. 3. You can rent a tuk tuk for the ENTIRE day in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap for $20-25 a day, even for a driver to take you to Angkor Temple and wait for you and take you back for that price. Not $75. 4. You over paid for food everywhere. You can go into many many restaurants and pay $2.50-$3.50 per meal even as a foreigner. Not that you spoke about it but you can get a 2 bed 2 bath beautiful modern western home for $250-350 a month or less.

@delayedtraveler Thanks for your comment! Our channel caters to Luxury travelers. While there are plenty of experiences and accommodations that are wonderful on a budget, those aren't for everyone. Different travelers enjoy different styles and price points to travel. Overpaying is a matter of perspective. Actually from the sound of it, you also overpaid for most things, because you can get hotels, food, and transport all cheaper than the prices you listed (if you want to). $75 was the price for an air conditioned car ($35/day) and a sanctioned Angkor Wat Tour Guide ($40/day), not sure you can beat that 🤷‍♂️ You can get an $18 tuk tuk to take you to all the temples for the day, but that doesn't come with a guide, and it's also not an air-conditioned vehicle, which is the point we were trying to make. There are plenty of channels that focus on traveling on a budget, local experiences, backpacking, documentary film making, street food etc.... but that's not our channel. It looks like you made some good videos of your own about your travels, you should keep making them! There's no one way to travel. Have a great day, and happy travels!
