Cambodia is not cheep the real prices for Cambodia! Phnom Penh was just named the most expensive

Cambodia is not a cheep country, to the contrary it’s quite expensive for many run of the mill things people buy. Prices in Cambodia travel.

You are in AEON Supermarket (from Japan) which caters mainly specialty products to the middle/upper class. This store is not to be compared with other local super(markets).

It is the same in the Philippines. If you go to a western style grocery store, then the prices are expensive and sometimes more than in the US. If you go to the local market, then prices are generally cheap.

As already mentioned, Cambodia is cheap if you go to the markets. You're in a western supermarket. It's the same in Thailand!

City market always do that. They marked up the price double than they should unless controlled by the government. Rural market usually have more stable price because of the competition

That's Western food! But.. It's cheaper than here in Norway anyway 😂 not going to buy from western stores when we go there. Import is always more expensive. Everywhere..

You're right, so expensive considering their low monthly average wage, a $100 wouldn't go far in that store
