Camber Adjustment

Do you have Coilovers, Airbags, or camber plates? I show you how to adjust any of those with the use of the camber plates that come on them (some airbags or coil overs may not come with them on). If your looking for some fendor space or just add looks this will show you how!

    Do you have a good starting point for camber on this setup? What is your setup process? Do you just make a timed lap and adjust for best lap time or are you measuring lateral Gs?

    I want to do this to my Kia Rio 5 but it looks like there is some cutting involved to put a camber plate on it cuz right now it has three bolts and they don't move at all so I guess you just have to cut little slits so it can move back and forth . Can you adjust the camber at the bottom of the strut ? I just kind of want to take the wheels in but is the only way to achieve that is by camber plate?

    Thanks so much for the vid. I just place a coils over kit but I am far from do this correct. First I measured the original struts with the coilsover and lowered a little bit it. Installed and it was extremely high and positive. Than, 2nd, I measure the excesses (about 8cm) and took this out and, installed again. This time was to low and weird thing, the sway bar didn't connected. It was to far for engage. I don't know what I am doing.

    Jakobi Baker You can't have camber bolts on the back. On the 2015 and up WRX the rear tires are on adjustable for camber (without added parts). I'm actually in factory spec for the rears when I'm at ride height, but when I drop it to the ground the tears go way negative. I didn't do anything to make the rears that aggressive. I hope than answers your question!

    Maybe you already had your question answered, but those with the 86/BRZ/FRS need to bang out that wall if you adjust a lot of camber from your camber plates to make room. Either do that or adjust by aftermarket camber bolts + minimal camber plate adjustment or slotting top hole of strut (possibly even front lower control arm too if you need it to get camber gang specs). Also, shave out the metal bolt and any clips in that wall to avoid any bags popping in the fronts only. For you WRX/STI guys, you would most likely be fine but look out for that metal bolt clearance too and check your wheel clearance.

    Hey bro. I just installed some coilovers on my car. The front came with camber adjustable and the rear didn't. I tried my best to adjust the front as good as I can, which is a PITA to get it correctly. But for the rear, it has negative camber. How did you fix that on yours or did you leave like that in the back? Also, I keep hearing that it's not worth it to get an alignment since you can do it yourself with that camber adjustment. What did you ended up doing? Please let me know.

  • @subielicious6892

    @subielicious6892

    Subaru WRX The rear is non adjustable on these cars, if you want to adjust it you have to buy a camber kit for the rear. And you need an alignment, you can adjust camer with camber plates but can't account for your toe, and how strait the car drives. Wait 500-1000 miles for the coils to break in and get an alignment, it's only like $50 and it can end up saving you from eating through your tires

Like dude just go to a track once it'll cost like 50 bucks take these throw them on eBay get some real performance springs and just track it a few times you'll never go back and you will actually do what the car is meant to do. Also don't just slam it all the way towards negative camber like your tires man your performance is all dying cause of this.
