Manuel agras rodriguez it is pretty nice, personally though the only newer car that i like if the mustang. all the other new one just kinda look chubby, or like bulky. the older ones though, i love the charger!

I'm a corvette fan,as I own one. But I will admit the GT-R makes one HELL of a motor. The 2015 GT-R beat the new ZO6 corvette in speed, when the ZO6 had MORE HP then the GT-R. It was faster even on the straight away's, which shocked everyone who tested the cars. The C7's are still cool looking corvettes!!!

+WooSVT Ehhhh.... yes and no bro. In this case, which is what we are talking about.. this race. From a dig I just don't see any rear wheel drive car being able to hang with a well tuned all wheel drive GTR out of the hole easily. Supra's are around 3500lbs, GTR's are 3800lbs. If you look at just weight, sure the Supra should have the edge. But shit man, all wheel drive ain't nothing to fuck with. Then you take into account the GTR's Launch Control and it's a wrap. Now on the highway from a roll it could be a matter of Tune & Driver. But to just say a Supra will beat a GRT every time is just wishful thinking.

I love America any of my friends will tell you how much i do but Ive been in a r35 and no muscle car will beat one. I love usa but american/ Canadians build their cars like their people, big and wide and the tolerances with parts is not great. Where as the japan build their cars like them slim and sleek and even their mass production cars the tolerances are amazingly precise and that is even more so when building the GTR. Any muscle car will lose to a GTR just plain fact. Ones a big fat overweight cow and one is a beautiful slim light performance athlete. So the outcome is a given. GTR's for life. Oh look its GODZILLA.

And yea that's what I thought about the GTR when I first saw how fast it was ..you have to have some years of experience to handle the power and I think thats why they won't make standard GTR's because it would just be way too much power for regular drivers since the GTR is very affordable compared to other super cars and trust me man ..I always hear that at the races when standard cars lose and most of the time is not because they're slow is because they cant handle the power of a standard car when they might be used to driving automatics or just don't know how to race lol and I know right automatic cars are boring a'f to drive I rather drive standard where you do everything instead of the car doing everything for you ..standard is just more fun and intertaining to drive :)

I never said that was the best time ran by a stock GT-R or ZR1, simply that it was done and that these cars run 11s with ease. I'm sure if I looked to see what the fastest time for a stock one ran was I'd find it, the same way you did. Yes the GT-R is an unbelievable machine in my opinion from what I've seen. The engineering behind it is absolutely incredible.

I wonder how much boost the Gtr was running to need e85.

when from a roll, does awd even matter? just seems like it is only a big advantage from a dig. Just something i have always been curious with.

yes. plus you need to pretty much upgrade your entire fuel management system, bigger injectors, fuel lines and such. that being said, not only does e85 have a high octane rating, it also burns cooler that pump/race gas allowing gtr engines tuned to use it HUGE power increases. if that camero owner knew anything he wouldn't have been dumb enough to challenge that monster for a dig or a roll...

@Marvy marv tires are a huge deal when it comes to drag racing. I had a 2010 Ss doing 9.4 at the 1/8 and got it down to 8.4 with nitto drag radials once I added a 125 shot I was running 7.8-7.9. I ran 7.7 a couple of times

Thanks man! There is good info out there, you just have to be picky as to what you believe. I like to know how things work instead of just saying oh, it works. Plus I have had many years of hands on experience building cars. Which makes a huge difference than just being a (you tube) certified mechanic like a lot of people I see on here.

Ford still offers the Windsor and Cleveland blocks along with other 385 series motors and certain FE families. F1AE and F2VE 4.6L use the same bell housing patterns as the windsor 302's that have been around since 1962. Ford revised the 4.6L bell housing in newer casting to accept different tremic patterns.

So, I would say both cars are extremely remarkable.

ZL-1 is a heavy car, even with the 125hp shot of nitrous. It just doesn't have a fast shifting, dual clutch like the Nissan and then there's the AWD. It's auto is not even close. Chevy is reported to have built it's own 8spd in the 2015 Z06 that "shifts faster" than the dual clutch in the 911! Gotta see that. Still though, AWD provides traction like no other system including a rear engined design. And the GT-R mounts it's trans in the rear! Totally well thought out car.

the gtr has a amazing launch control system and combine that with a finely tuned engine you get a car thats hard to beat. that also why so many street drag racers in other countries are using gtr now

Lexus's 1uzfe is a very impressive little 4.0 DOHC v8. People build these things (cams, rods, pistons, dry sump basically) and spin them out to 10k+ rpm, or build them with turbo spec internals and make over 1200hp Pretty impressive for a sub 1000$ used engine.
