V8 never come close to Flat 6 (porsche) even in this race, the Camaro was experimental division car so it had more power than the division it was trying to beat. As soon as all the le mans rules apply you will see the glorious V8 last😂

@myhandleadhd its basically the same engine that's used in nascar just lower revs and less power iirc. Also 5.86 still rounds to 5.9, besides you originally said it ran a 6.2 which is just wrong. I do agree though the caddy and camaro used different engines but that's just common knowledge

​@@lahandri7275The MK4 Toyota Supra has only 200 to 300hp and is slower than my 250hp Subaru Legacy GT. I beat them in races all the time. They are slow in both corners and straight lines. Don't come at me with well if it's tuned because you can tune any car with 20K and get about 1000hp.

I was on a hill at indianapolis. Tried to sleep there and it was about 14 meters away from the tarmac. Every time the nascar passed by it felt as if my body was being torn apart.

@@jamal4381 they also completely re made the aerodynamics and made it lighter, they also tuned the engine and it had special tire specifically for that occasion,they also had the advantage of power and driver and were allowed to do things that are normally illegal,if you didn't know they blew the transmission and were allowed to change it so if they were actually competing instead of just promoting nascar, they would've been discualified, it was a completely different car and even with all those advantages, it was still incapable of finishing the race.

It was a joy watching that Camaro storm through LeMans.

This was glorious I loved every minute of Le Mans this year and the nascar made it all the sweeter

We need a takeover with all generations of Nascar and their trucks. I bet that many boom tubes on the track at once would be more than magical

That's so called Camaro blew a gearbox in that race and it was only allowed a new gearbox because it was a experimental division car. Also, that so-called NASCAR in le mans was changed to a point that it was not a Nascar anymore😂

It used the same frame and engine. The biggest modification was to the body to produce more downforce.

@@xxzenonionnex7658 and engine is comprised of lots of parts, and most of them were changed😂😂 the body was modified too to accommodate a different aerodynamic design 😂 Also the tuning was different, wheels were different, complete aero package was different. Youknow what one can enter a race spec modded VW golf and call it Street legal car in Lemans by that logic, but that doesn't mean it is a streetcar anymore just because it has indicators and lights, that car has become a Le Mans car 😂😂😂

Wow its almost like its an american muscle car, which means its not even in the same teir of performance. Who wouldve thought. Its essentially a comercial daily driver/ entry level race vehicle vs a multimullion dollar piece of engineering designed for the highest echelon of racing. In other words it did about as good as it shouldve cause its really just a grocery getter for rednecks.

A V-8 engine is pure music to my ears at 8000 rpm. There is a balance to the exhaust note no other engine has ever made or can. Harmony is the best explanation.

No it wouldn't lol clown. Did you even watch the short? Did you see how quick the Porsche 963 flew by it? At qualifying it was 20 seconds slower than LMH/LMDH and 10 seconds slower than LMP2 clown.

Lol. It's cool to hear the commentator's talk about this stock car from Nascar America. And how impressed they are by this "simple compared to the other cars in Leman" car design. Being an American, the first motorsport I watched was obviously Nascar. That did open the door to see other motorsports around the world. You get to see how.they are different, so you can appreciate the excitement in the voices in the announcing when they talk about it. We aren't F1, we aren't prototypes, we still adjust the car mechanically...... however, we're recognized now.

GM did very well at Le Mans, Corvette won its class, Cadillac finished well.

That car also had the fastest pit crew and they had a fricking FLOOR JACK.

I never heard anybody else use the term V8 alarm clock until now, years ago there was a guy down the block from us that had an old 80's ford pickup and that thing would roar to life five days a week religously at 6:30 am. I was never late to work back then!
