This is it. In a very weird way (for me) Cam served as a precursor to MF DOOM. They rap about completely different things - but there is something weirdly similar about their “essence” with regards to their choice of rhymes. DOOM is obviously to another degree.

This may sound hard to believe, but from a purely technical standpoint, according to data analyzing multiple rappers, Cam came out on top. He was number one; MF Doom number two. This comes from Rapmetrics years back, so it might be different now, though. But anyways, people always argue about GOATS and almost all of it cones down to opinion, but again, an actual data-based study placed him as the true GOAT. It's hard to digest at first. Or at least it was for me, because I didn't/don't always like Cam's music, and refused to see him in any way above Doom and some of my favorite emcees at the time. The more of his music I honestly and openly listened to, though, I realized it's true; lyrically, Cam'ron is low key one of the greats.
