The energy of NYC and the surrounding areas is very masculine. Born and raised there. Even when we don’t want to, we have to match that energy out of protecting ourselves. I live down south now and it definitely mellowed me out. But, I’m in NY for the holidays and last night a guy was standing on the corner counting his money, seen me and said hey. My response was a rigid “what up” and I kept it pushing. His energy didn’t feel safe to me so I immediately went into masculine mode.

There are masculine aggressive women everywhere. But i think NYC and east coast women in general are famous for carrying that rep with them wherever they go.
