This distortion of history was done gradually after independence and more was done in TN after 1967 which is detrimental to TN younger generation. I do not know whether you have heard of vvs Iyer and veer sawarkar freedom fighters who swam through English canal to escape British tyrrany. Gandhiji ,Nehruji were great freedom fighters. But they did not suffer like VVS Iyer or sawarkar or VO chidambaram pillai . Justice party ( old DK) told British not to give independence. None of you might be aware of these true history unfortunately. 3 generations have been taught wrong history by successive state govts in TN.
