Haha this popped up in my recommend videos.. i recognized this moment just looking at the thumbnail. Sure enough there’s my silly head in the background. He sounded incredible in person.

And Meinl for the win🤗🤗🤗🙌🏾 Love how he sounds with them cymbals!

I stank faced this whole video. I can tell he had a place to really vent while learning to play. My neighbors constantly got on my case for being to loud. But great job young man!!

Calvin used to endorse pearl drums right? Anyway... amazing solo! These drums sound amazing and look unexplainably beautiful. Lots of love to SJC drums(if I'm not mistaken) and Calvin.. and pearl too(cuz I grew up playing pearl)

Sakshi Gugliani Pradhan Calvin still plays pearl drums. He’s just using this kit because it was at the promark and D’Addario booth. This was their general kit for all their artists. He’s just showcasing their firegrain sticks here

Thanks man! This was shot on a Sony A7sii camera with 35mm 1.2 SLR magic cine lens. Audio was recorded with the ZOOM F1-SP shotgun mic. editing and color graded in FCPx ;)

jeremy144713 you really don’t think the drums sound amazing. Calvin is playing them so you’re subliminally already biased in your decision making. The drums sound alright. Not the best sound compared to previous sets Rodgers has played on. The tone of the drums didn’t even inspire him to play fr.

Okay someone help me out here.... Besides the brotha showing off a few of his skills...wtf is the point? What's so different about the drums that he is supposedly advertising? Is it the sticks? because honestly...all these drummers sound the same😒

Calvin is endorsed by Pro-mark sticks. He's just playing an open solo for one of the companies that support him. Alot of drummers DO sound the same, but look up some of Calvin's credits and you'll soon realize that Calvin has his own sounds and amazing groove and feel. NAMM is a trade show, so their arists will perform at their booth to bring more eye balls to their products.
