Calum Scott I In the music industry, there’s a common saying that goes - ‘a good person makes a great musician’ - Calum Scott has proven that as a fact for us. Calum visited kiwa on a perfect autumn day, with the warm rays sunlight dancing on the colorful foliage. While the actual filming of the session only took a blink of a second thanks to his perfect voice, Calum happily did an encore for us off camera, when he realized that none of us ever wanted the show to end. Sadly, the encore bit only remains in the memories of those who were there that beautiful afternoon.
Calum Scott rose to fame overnight after Simon from ‘Britain’s Got Talent!’ pressed the Golden Buzzer for him on the show, where he sung Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’. Soon afterwards, Calum came out public, wanting to stay honest to his fans, and of course himself. After hearing him say that “words that help you, help others too”, we can finally understand why Calum’s music helps us through the difficult times. “No Matter What” talks about how he came out to his parents, while “You Are The Reason” portrays a person who longs for his ex-lover to come back. Calum’s music often brings back a sea of memories from the past, and allows us to put our guards down, even for a little moment, to fully enjoy the music.
Whether it’s about someone, or something, music is meant to evoke some sort of emotion. It affects the everyday lives of individual people, and sometimes even the entire world. Meanwhile, Calum’s music reminds us that at the end of the day, we’re all only human. Some may think that his ambition to make a difference to this world through music is boring and nothing out of the norm. While his words may sound stereotypical, we have to admit that we all need a little bit of good will in life, whether that’s ours or somebody else’s. Calum’s idea that everyone is precious on their own, may also sound obvious but what we should understand is that these sort of thoughts have led him to create music which touches our hearts.

I first saw you on BGT and had not forgotten you, I am a 69 year old grandma from Australia and I just love your songs and your beautiful voice and I agree with your Mum and Dad that you must be who you really need to be, and we will still love you and admire you for the beautiful man that you have shown to be! Don't let the naysayers hurt you,just ignore them, there are now millions of Callum fans of all ages and sexes around the world who will be faithful friends to you and your music. We only wish you the best, the ones that turned their backs on you weren't your real friends after all,they don't deserve to be in your presence at all, the hypocrites. You remind me of my Uncle David, he didn’t sing but he was a DJ and the most beautiful soul. He was gay and we helped him hide it at family reunions. He contracted AIDS at the beginning and all of his friends died, but he came to Florida to visit me right after the birth of my first daughter and I put her in his hands and he cried. I know 💯 that he watches over us all

How awesome is Calum's voice? I think shares a talent like other 'modern day' classic singers. People like Elton, Freddy, Bowie, George M, John L & Paul Mc, Robbie, Sting, Seal, Annie Lennix, and especially Adele. They could all sing the same song, but you'd instantly know who's singing. Calum, just like Simon I too think you're super special!

I know, right?! All the songs are amazing, hard to choose a favorite. He has a sweet voice and sings from the deepest place in his heart as well. No Matter What would be my top choice. My heart broke for him the first time I heard it and it still stings when I play it. No one deserves to be tossed by friends no matter what; or for any reason…ever! It’s cruel and wrong on so many levels. To me it’s simple, we should be loving and show compassionate to all people.

When I saw his first performance on BGT I loved his voice but also he was so sweet, sang a very beautiful song even though he kept looking towards his sister who had just got turned down for her own performance, but he kept going and his sweet smile won over me over...wonderful young man
