This here is a musical sketch hacked together by the Monks of Zero; it's derivative work because it's very loosely based on some of the chords/progressions/ideas used in Humoresque by Dvorak (Op 101 No 7). (Humoresque definition: a musical composition of humorous or capricious character according to the dictionary.)
Development: The Piano and celli chords are derived from the chords that make up the first two parts of Humoresque by Dvorak but the progressions in this derivative were simplified a lot. Also Humoresque is in F# Major and this is in D Dorian. A new set of D dorian melody ideas were developed from the new chord progression using ARIA from Hookpad for generating and editing the new melody and phrase ideas. The midi score of the various parts is then put in Reaper DAW for instrumentation and melody/chord changes to further edit and simplify it - and it's still fairly complex but sounds pretty cool - so thanks Mr Dvorak for your musical inspiration:).
