my mom just passed away last night at 55 and this morning i left two bouquet of flowers for her, lighted up candles and put a beautiful picture of her smiling when she was young next to it. thank you mom, through my eyes you are and always will be magnificent, hilarious and unforgettable.

Your comment made me stop and realize the reality of life, I have no specific words to say and I don't know you but i feel something inside that changed when I read those words. Also made me think of a quote from the movie Troy and it goes as follows, " The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now".

You just made me cry. I am going through the same thing.
I want to be the man that I wanted to be when I was a child. I always imagined my adult self as a hero of some sort. An individual who strives to make the world better for others. The way I've been living my life has me feeling more like a no name goon. No moral compass. I don't want that anymore. I want to be rid of my personal addictions, and free of all the vices that I rely so heavily on. I want to be the good guy, not this ugly spirit that feels ashamed to even breathe.
