I immediately start to follow you it is amazing! I am from African and European roots. Since 7 years I follow a spiritual awakening.this guide me to my true self: being an artist. I have read the Bible, the Holy Quran, have interest to Eastern Oriental Philosophies and then since a few months it is like a come back to home I have a deep interest on African spirituality such as Orishas, ancien Egypt and the Tuareg culture. What I understand is that all those books all those philosophies have one and only influence just like their core tells the same. yes you are right, they all teach the same in the core. Here is a small addition to your experience from the buddhism: the light is the nature and essence of the emptiness, everything is one whole thing and nothing is totally black or white, good or bad, there is no duality except the one in our mind. Most of traditions even use the same or very similar methods to reach their goal like some kinds of fasting, retreats, keeping you mind and voice silent and letting things come and go. Scott Fitzgerald at "Franny" showed that there is no difference which name of God you will repeat, all of them will cause the same effect.
