auuughhh it’s always the Def Leppard/Rolling Stones/Nirvana/GnR/ACDC shirts that get me. Whenever I see people wearing those tees I want to talk to them so badly… great bands! Such a shame that their logos are used for fashion nowadays. Keep it up!

@@bluewall_mortal It’s overrated in the modern metal scene, and has been for a while. Quantity over quality. There are better so called “subgenres” in the scene. Heavy metal needs to go back to the style of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. Bands that actually wrote, you know, songs that you could understand. And just because a band is mainstream like nirvana was, doesn’t mean they suck.

@@IosonoRob Obviously not but maybe try checking out some of their songs. You're commenting here on KZread, you can easily look up a song or two and see if you like what you hear. And that way even if you don't end up liking them but still like the shirt, you have the semblance that you're aware of them in some way lol.

I love it how people always just list the hits songs. I'm an avid Marilyn manson T-shirt wearer and fan. If ever I had this opportunity to list 3 songs i probably would have named. Tried up tide and dead to the world. Lamb of God. Mechanical animals of the song.

Honestly... who cares if they don't know the songs? If they just like the design or aesthetic of the shirt, that's TOTALLY FINE. If you do ask them about the band and they say they don't know any songs, maybe suggest a few for them to listen to, and they can do so if they want. Also, what if there's some kind of backstory with the band shirt they're wearing? What if it's from a deceased family member and they wear it for sentimental value? Mind your business, quit gatekeeping, and let people wear what they want.

The only people I know who genuinely get pissed off by people who wear band t-shirts without knowing much (if anything) by the band are either insecure or overcompensating for their own lack of knowledge of the band in question. True fans of a band couldn't care a less either way.
