A calligraphy model is a specimen used for practicing Chinese calligraphy. It can be a writing sample written by a Chinese calligraphy teacher; a rubbing from a stone tablet; or a copy of ancient Chinese calligrapher's writing with ink on letters.
Here, a calligraphy model is a female model who helps promote Chinese calligraphy in a demonstration or an exhibition. This work was written and dedicated to Yao Yao during the opening ceremony of the Joint Chinese CalligraPainting Exhibition at Dallas Chinese Community Center on July 19, 2014.
