I think there was a simple answer to the caller, which is--If you were to redefine words like religion to mean worship of anyone or anything that exists or doesn't exist, then yes, by that definition of the word religion, it would seem that atheists are being selective in their criticism of religion. However, since most people, theists and atheists, don't define religion to mean worship of anyone or anything, the caller's criticism of atheists is non-sensical, and might I even say---irrational.

So secularism, communism, socialism, hero worship, etc. is religion. Then a person believing in say socialism but not believing in God becomes a religious atheist. If you believe in secularism and feminism, then you have 2 religions. This guy will be very much confused when filling a form where you have to mention your religion.

Abhishek just wanted to vomit all the uneasiness and skewed ideas he had been forming by not absorbing or understanding the subjects he brought in here. It is one thing to form an idea opposed to a subject and then try to find ways of understanding other perspectives but our guy just wanted to regurgitate at a higher volume. You can't be unreceptive and join a debate/discussion

Many people don't understand what "definition" is. If you ask someone what a parallelogram is, they will start telling all the properties of it. But definition is something that you cannot prove. Whereas using the definition you can prove the properties. This is basic for mathematics as well as logic. Definition has no connection with bias.

Everything we try to understand and explain on the basis of the model. All models have limitations, and the limitations can be quantified. What you were trying to establish, was a new model of explaining the human belief system. Which is commendable. But, in that case, this was not a perfect forum to promote an all new model. Vimoh was talking with respect to the established framework. As per popular framework all belief systems are not religions. Religion can have God, gods or no god, but it centres around human morality. I would suggest you to first define religion according to the model you are proposing. Again, atheists have nothing to do with religion. Atheist is a person who does not believe in the conjecture of God. So, again I would say that this was not the right forum.

To put Richard Dawkins's definition of faith, and he says '' faith/religion is a belief without evidence''. So every belief systems can't be taken as a religion ( doesn't matter organized or unorganized). So if I say the ancestors of Nehru had in their genes the ability of good governance, and therefore he should rule, can be taken as a belief if I don't have any evidence. But if I have evidence then that will be truth. And in case of God, the believers have failed to present any such evidence that substantiate the fact that there is God. For that matter the organized religion with the concept of a God will be taken as blind believe. Clear.

@@mithilbhoras5951 give him a time limit and ask him to finish making his point within that time and close the call in a better way rather than muting repeatedly and asking for dictionary definition which can be found anyway. Either way thats just one way of looking at it. Ultimately the rights of muting lies with the host so he's obviously completely allowed to do this.

Ram was not creator, neither hanuman.. They fought wars and what not but worshipping them is religion.. Why not nehru. Same logic even if ram was imagined .. Point being One doesn't have to be a creator

Not answering simple questions is not good debating. There comes a point when patience wear out especially the debate is not in good faith. I don't think Vimoh did anything wrong. Also Vimoh pointed out several times how Abhishek's way of trying to equate Nehru worship and feminism with religion was wrong and yet Abhishek was hell bent on making that point. At some point you gotta stop man.
