Looks like his legs have gone - never the quickest but now a real hindrance. No way is he running in behind anyone. First time we stretched them with a forward pass we scored.

How many times does Saka have to destroy that right wing, cut back to the box, only to realise Kane is all the way in defense? Southgate keeps starting him because he's too coward to take his helmet off and make a change

Everyone is scapegoating Kane and it’s so annoying. Why won’t you hold others accountable. Like Walker who’s been a defensive liability, and Foden who has been poor the whole tournament expect for 2 games.

Trippier on the left is a bigger problem than Kane.

He's not mate. He should put more crosses in with his left foot and get on the overlap more but everyone's jumped all over him and scapegoated him ever since that awful pass to Guehi which got him suspended. Apart from that he's not put a foot wrong defensively. He's playing out of position doing the best he can. Walker, Guehi and Stones have all looked vulnerable at times too. Against Slovakia those three were the weak links. I wouldn't have taken Trippier at all personally after the season he's had but he's defended well which I wad worried about and has been our best free kick and corner taker all tournament. Kane's not held the ball up well, movements been shite, no desire to run into the box when a ball is put onto the penalty soot for him, doesn't press, never drags the defenders about and comes too deep to clog the midfield up. Trippier's done his defensive work diligently. Kane's been a carthorse. Embarrassing that he's immune to criticism just because he's the best striker. Questioning him this tournament doesn't mean you're questioning him overall. Sick to death of Trippier getting blamed solely for everything this tournament. Walker's barely got forward either on the right hand side and Shaw only put one decent cross in on his left foot when he came on. I'd still start Shaw in the final though.

He did the right subs almost at right time last night. However we won’t get much of the ball against Spain. Late subs won’t work as most of the time we’ll b trying to get the ball. Tony should start get the early goal and keep it tight then bring Watkins on

I think Kane is a bit too slow, maybe he can play in the first half but he should be substituted in the second half

Maybe Watkins should start and Kane come on later. He just doesn't have the legs, it's clear. He's not terrorizing defences or winning balls defensively. It seems obvious

I’m a villa fan, I don’t think Watkins should start in the final but maybe Luke Shaw should start and bring Watkins on at half time. This could be the perfect way to set him up for success.

There is only one way to see how a player is if they start - TO START THEM 🙄

Kane is done - walking in treacle - no agility. Watkins HAS to start.....buzzing too. 100% tho, Kane will start and play till 75m at least.

Anyone should start over kane, his England form has dipped since he went to Germany and he isn't doing enough to justify starting.

Mainoo, Watkins, Palmer are the game changer for England

He won't. Same sh*t we had with Rooney in his final years who kept being forced into the team ahead of Vardy and Kane, even though he was not performing. Unfortunately, our luck will run out this game.

The car crash is when you play unfit players or players in positions where they can't express themselves. And Watkins is a top, experienced Premier League player

Come on now. Kane been very reliable in the past. Been very wobbly this tournament. So now the best thing is to use both.

Kane is tried and tested. Fans need to remember the header to beat the Swiss. Watkins is phenomenal, but makes a better impact from the bench. Luring opposition defence into false sense of security then unleash Watkins...

Southgates success is just luck or world cup and euro routes lately have been handing it to us on a plate and bottle it soon as we get a top team
