Too expensive to fill the bag with the Callaways, a set of Eleven Hybrids is more affordable & realistic or if you need that sort of help a set of Cleveland Launcher XL Halo 5-PW irons with Project X graphite shafts in regular or senior for £460 is a better buy.

I agree, pal of mine and I have been playing Elevens for 5 months. I have TSR2 driver, 5 wood, 3&5 hybrids, then 6,7,8,9 and PW Elevens with KBS stiff shafts, use a normal gap and lob wedge. We are both in our 60’s but single figure golfers as we have been for over 50 years. The Elevens give us back our yardage, they are also incredibly consistent with dispersion. Had a lesson on Thursday, my club pro said, these are incredible, I could use them, yes he had to try them. He felt ego was stopping too many golfers from giving them a go, my scores are dropping quickly, hope to get back to scratch, I am on a mission. Richard at sub 70, the owner of Eleven golf is helpful and equally enthusiastic. The Elevens are not adjustable, but they don’t need to be as the gapping is perfect and they are so straight and forgiving. Individual price of £85 each is unbeatable, can’t endorse their value enough.

Crazy that you can get an entire set of something that will probably perform the same for the price of one club
Before my father passed away, his last set of golf clubs was mostly hybrids. He had 8, 9, PW, SW and LW while the rest were woods/Hybrids. He was still shooting in the 70's (he was 75 when he passed but would still shoot 75 or better from the senior tees) with hybrids into par 4's and seeing that they have 7 and 8 hybrids available makes me very happy. Great review James, these clubs are going to offer a lot of people different options and let them enjoy the game more!
James, your mantra has always been value, you refer to the Elevens, and yes they are unbeatable value. I and my pal have used them for 5 months, both single figure seniors, they have given us our yardage back, their tight dispersion and consistent performance far out play ordinary irons. I had a lesson on Thursday, the pro said ‘these are incredible, I could play these”. My Elevens have stiff KBS shafts, offering great feel and performance I can trust. You said these clubs are not designed for you, why? 5,6 and 7 hybrids that are super accurate, would benefit anyone. My pro said its ego that stops folk trying them, he knows my pal and I had been plus handicap in the past, I plan to get back to scratch with my new found distance. And no io don’t hit the 7 hybrids 150 yards, its 165, but hitting soft shots is a breeze with the increased bounce and for forgiveness. £85 per club for Elevens, even beats the used market. I play the TSR 3 and 5 hybrid, these were in my bag when I purchased the Elevens, at £300 each new, I wouldn’t have brought them now, but they do a great job, so they stay in the bag. The Elevens are equal in performance, feel and consistency, major brands have a problem. My club pro is going to contact Sub70/Eleven to see if they will consider sales via him, the demographic at my club would definitely benefit from binning traditional irons.

Hi mate. I still review products for everyone. And have a comparison video ready with work cheaper alternatives. How that’s ok
awesome set of clubs James. Thanks for a super video brother
I think hybrids are fantastic when they're in the hands of people they were designed to benefit. They might not be for everyone, but they certainly have their place.
Great review on the new callaway hybrids and they look awesome, hopefully you are doing a review of the irons as well James
Nice review James. I carry 8h-5h and PW-6i and my hybrids are up to 2 club lengths longer than my irons but not as consistent. And the hybrids launch so high.
Very nice hybrid..talk about the shaft ..that very important..thanks
Typically too expensive, but I think Eleven in Europe and Lazrus in the USA have put a bit of a scare into the big brands.
My bag is a forest of headcovers now. Filled with Maverik and Big Bertha B21 hybrids. I love them. They eliminate finesse iron play and allow the use of one shot between the driver and the wedges.
A couple of years ago I found a Callaway Mavrik 8 hybrid at a Golf Galaxy. I got a great deal on it because no one even gave it a second look. It’s my go to club for those shots where I need to get some distance but need it to land and stick. I’m a big proponent of those high loft hybrids. They are a bit of a specialty club but I find myself going to it more often than I expected when I bought it.
Those are nice looking hybrids, but $299 is way out of my price range. I bought 2 lightly used Cobra F6 hybrids about 4 years ago for a total of about $70, and I seriously doubt that any of the newer hybrids perform much better.
I have 2 bad hips and back issies, still play 2x a week but went with the Taylor Made Stealth HD, the 5,6 and 7 are irons but almost a hybrid, but I jumped up in ball speed and distance with them. Enough that I can hit the 7 in spots I was hitting my actual hybrid before, but would hit a low cut to take distance off. Now from 185 and in I can still break out the irons.
A head to head with the elevens would be interesting, just to see if they are worth such a high cost .
I’ll wait 10 years till I can afford one on eBay . Thanks, James.
Think best part about these clubs is adjustable Shaft. Really think that could be huge if they did this with Irons as well.
I have a Ping 34 degree 7 hybrid and it’s staying in the bag! I can hit it 165 yards with just an easy swing. At 52 and left handed, I am waiting for a 8 hybrid next!
do you think these are any different from the Eleven Hybrids you tried apart from the price
They look very pretty, I’m not a hybrid fan. My bad shot goes left and hybrids tend to go lefter. Have they released a 7 wood in their fairway wood range
I use 3, 4 and 5 hybrids for their power and distance. My long irons just don't fly high enough at my swing speed. I bought a 6 hybrid because even my 6 iron comes in a bit flat to a green at around 40 degrees. It generates a towering ball flight that lands at an astonishing 48 degree landing angle. However, I find that towering flight a little unnerving. It is so high that it feels really vulnerable to wind and possibly could go off line by a long way. I'm still on the fence with the 6 hybrid and I actually carry both the hybrid and 6 iron as I don't carry a 3 wood.
You really should test the Cleveland halo XL hybrid set I believe it goes sand through the bag with all hybrids
I have hard time flighting a hybrid down like you seem to be having in this video. I love my 25 degree and will hit that onto a green over my 5 iron but if I need to hit a shot low and get 170 yards or more out of it then it's going to be an iron.

Knock down shots with a hybrid are a breeze, I flight all mine down when required. Take an extra club, choke down the grip, ball back slightly in the stance and 3/4 swing, bingo
i’m starting to think james it might be a good idea to have more than one club for a certain shot only problem then is what do i take out on the day
Definitely could not ever justify the cost. I'm glad my wife chose the Cleveland Launcher XL.
The Eleven offers 3-PW and price for one is 89£ and 4-PWset is 599£ (2Callaway hybrids) since they are gread for begginers. But 300 per i stick is overkill, but people still buy it ofcourse
Interesting set of clubs. Would I buy them??? Maybe, but not at that price. I would leave the head covers on only to stop other clubs from hitting/chipping the shaft of the other clubs.
is there a video coming out of you matt and hannah testing these?
James making things easier would be great I was wondering if you ever considered using a full set of hybrid style irons for a season and see how much they actually help your game

James is a pretty handy golfer. More than handy, actually. He has no reason to use a full set of hybrid irons.
Ive just brought 2022 rogue driver and 3wood..well pleased with them..could,nt afford your new ones..
I wonder why they don’t have the 9? My GBB hybrids I bought a few months ago go down to the 9. Best thing I ever did for my game. Swing easier and they go straight and a bit further than my regular irons
You're hitting this 6 hybrid around 190 yards carry. I hit my 6 iron quite regularly 135 yards. How can I relate your experience to my needs?
@TheflyingkiwiRC

Great point. I hit my 8 iron 125 yards and my 8 hybrid 145 yards. I find my hybrids are up to 2 club lengths longer but not as consistent as my irons. So my experiences are similar to James but from a shorter distance.
Interesting and just checked the price, in the UK, £169 a stick which is way pricey - that's an eye watering £844 for 8 to 5 iron replacement! Appreciate some may go for 1 or 2 and the price comes down. There was a rumour circulating back end of 23 the the big manufacturers recognised that the costs for clubs was probably too high and that they would be looking to address it - looks like that didn't happen with Callaway which leaves the door wide open for other manufacturers. But I suspect that might not happen either - shame really, let's see how many of the Callaway shift? Good review though.
£300 is a lot of money. I’m recently back to golf after a 15 year break. I used to be a good long iron player carrying both 1 & 2 irons, but struggling a bit with them now. I recently bought 3 titleist hybrids (2 818s and an 816) covering 19, 21 & 23 degrees for £40 each including the postage. They are only 6-7 years old and in good condition. Surely for most of us, good second hand bargains the way to go??

Eleven hybrids £85 per club and fantastic performance, try them
I feel like you hit your irons farther and more consistent but for those out there that cannot get the 4-6 up in the air..it makes sense

His hybrid numbers are longer than his irons ...only problem is you occasionally get a knuckle ball using hybrids and it adds 15 to 20 yards

Nailed it boys
May be shorten the shaft helps a little bit of consistency
Not a fan of hybrids myself! I have a set of Nike Hybrids, and they only made it to the driving range! I hit my 5 iron from 190 to 210 yards...and I also have a Cobra 5 & 7 woods that are great woods! The 7 wood is my "Go to!" Wood for 205 to 215 yards..and the 5 wood is for shorter Par 4's...as several of the Par 4's have fairway bunkers about 230 yards off the tee...one hole has a fairway bunker so deep...even being 6'6" doesn't help! I learned the hard way...and now...on that hole..it's a 7 wood and an 8 iron approach shot from 140 yards! At 66 years old...I have learned how to manage my way around the course...I can't drive 300-320 yard Par 4's anymore! In my little groups of Golf Mates...I just play to my strengths and let the guys who think they can drive short Par 4's go find their balls among all the Oak and Sycamore trees!! 😂😂😂
Think I’ll stick w ith iron s😊
$299 for a hybrid?! I seriously have lost all respect for the OEMs. Especially with all the great DTC brands out there. 🤦🏻♂️
Hopefully you will get your Dad on to test these and see how he gets on with them
I bought a 40 degree and 46 degree hybrid from the bargain bin at 2nd Swing Golf. They were 4:dollars each during a clearance sale. Typically used hybrids are 10 dollars. Of course they aren't prestigious brands, but 10 dollars compared to 300?????
Do they do a 2 hybrid
Custom against the 11 hybrids and see how they stack up price wise
James, How do these compare with the Eleven clubs?
@JamesRobinsonGolf

Funny you should say…
I’d like Mr Callaway to come on a video at some point and tell us all how come the cost of a hybrid went from £120 a pop to £299 in 5 years. More expensive materials and R&D of course.
Hey James have you became a paradigm fanboy
What no give away ❤😂
So 2 of those hybrids cast more than my full iron set, are these manufacturers trying to price themselves out of the market.
Two of my most unfavorite things. Callaway, number 1, and hybrids. Thanks!! I will change my mind on hybrids as I age, but not MEGA MARKETER callaway.
The ultimate question, will the left hand golfers be treated to this?
Not sure I could punch out under tree branches with these….I need at least a 5 or 6 iron to get out of trouble when I’m in the trees.

The loft is the same as an iron just out ball on back foot .. hands forward and out she pops
Keep the irons spend the money I n lessons
So, I guess you've gotten over your aversion to the Paradym name?
King of golf waffle
I have a sim max 6 hybrid .. it goes a country mile .. further than my 6 iron
$299 each??? They are nuckin futs!!!
Does Callaway pay for the youtubers to travel to California for the product launch? If so it might explain why we are being charged extortionate amounts for a golf bat

@@JamesRobinsonGolf Thank you
This hybrids like most are not great with dispersion left right long and short.
Eleven hybrids would do the job for half the price for the ordinary club golfer...
I am almost 70 years old, if I get to the point where I can't hit an 8 iron I think its time to hang up the clubs.. I use a 4 and 5 hybrid because of the swing speed it takes to hit longer irons, but don't see myself ever going more then possibly a 6 hybrid.

Why wudnt you thou .. ?.. easy to launch and you will gain 10 to 15 yards.. its about making the game more enjoyable
Too $$ for anyone to fill the bag with if they needed. Plus I still have an issue with them exploiting the AI term. There is no AI happening in that club.
Pick me if you ever need a high handicapper to play a full bag of hybrids for a year. I'm your man😊😊😊😊😊

A bag of them hybrids is gonna make a serious dent in a bank account.
Way too expensive. Mere mortals won't be able to get them in the bag.
Save for a year, buy 3 then realise they have just bought out AI 2s 🤣🤣🤣
Cobra cheaper and better.
$1500+ for 8-4...no thanks.
get real James there too expensive
You lost me at £299 a club. These manufacturers are taking the piss now. #GrowTheGame 🖕
Golf is becoming rubbish. Pencil bag, half a set, lots of skill. Pure.
Another marketing gimmick by Callaway pls do us Club golfers a proper review verses eleven it’s a right rip off from Callaway so they can continue paying Rham his sponsership money

Not wild about the branding path Callaway has been on the past few years. For the first time I’ll be getting new clubs from another maker.
